Thank you so much I am double jointed so my fingers get stuck and I've not been able to understand how to do this braid with out my fingers locking up or hurting me but with you going slow step by step I was able to fallow and my fingers didn't get stuck thank you so much I have been looking for the perfect video to help me

So dutch braid is the reverse of french braid the difference between the two is this french braid when you put a strand in your putting the strand you pull over the middle but dutch braids you add the strand under the middle

What a good little girl! She sits still and lets mommy do her hair! Have you tried a forward Dutch braid? Do a regular forward braid but when you add hair, bring it behind the braid.

Enjoy your amazing expertise, and your very sweet, patience daughter. She is a jewel. I have always wanted to do my grand daughter’s hair, ( raised her for 15 years). She was NOT going to let me! So funny!! Now she in high school and college courses, school golf team, working , professional soprano choir, and of course her church and her relationship with Christ, don’t have time, to busy, but would I like to get my hands on her long beautiful hair! I’m always teasing that I’m going too. 🙃 one day I’ll get her!😀 So I think I need to keep up on your instructions, another fan and subscriber. God bless and keep you both. P.S. My son has adopted seven children, four girls and three boys. Maybe I’ll get to play with them! Of course there’s always a but, they live five hours away!❤️

Ah! This is how I learned to dutch/french braid decades ago, but no one else has heard of it!! It works well to braid on my own hair. I don’t do well with “adding to the working strand”! This way you “add and then hold the strand to work on the next section”. Its hard for me to explain it to people. When I do it, I think “Cross, add, clamp” then I do it on the other side with other hand, repeating.

I love your videos. You are such an inspiration. I took inspiration from your line braid tutorial and did my own version on my daughters hair and it uploaded today.
