When we moved into our new house (log home in NH) the seller left 4-5 pairs of ice skates! I have them hung on a sled outside, others hanging on hooks, etc. So happy to have them!
I like the idea of simple. Little to put up and little to put down. I always love what u do. If I was younger, 75 now I would do more to my house. Thanks for sharing.
Love how with simple nips & tucks a room can transform into something with warmth and personality. Love everything you did to your bedroom. I just love this time of year. 🎄🎄🎄🎄
Julie, I like the sewing machine stands beside your bed. I have two that have done various decor duties...end table, nightstand, telephone stand, complete with wall phone and stack of phone books, in dining room corner ( yes that shows my age lol 😊). They're now holding sewing machines. I remember when you made those pretty light globe ornaments, all the ornaments are perfect for that tree. It looks so real and love the blue spruce color. Great job with all your decorations!
You have suck a great imagination, I am obsessed with the ornaments that you made from the light shades last year and EVERYTHING you did today in this video, the box cover turned into a picture and tag was genius! ❤
I love everything you do, my style is very similar. I love to watch, but frankly the products you use are just too expensive for me. It’s frustrating, I don’t sell what I make, so to buy endless amounts of supplies is just cost prohibitive. Sorry, probably not a popular opinion, but an honest one.
I do agree with the thrifting side. It makes it more affordable. It’s just the paints, waxes, moulds ,stamps and transfers are very expensive . I love them and even have some, but spending 50+ on every project is out of the question for most.
I have have very little and also later very comfortable in different seasons of my life. Because I love to decorate and make many of my own items, and also thrift special less expensive items to redo to match my style. To afford my favorite IOD PRODUCTS, I ask for them for Christmas gifts and birthday gifts from my husband. Slowly over a few years I have started a very nice collection. Some people can’t even do that. I get it, I’ve been there. Just do the best you can with what you have.❤
Beautiful. I love your bedroom decor. This year I did not clear out my cabinets. I do not feel like people look at yhe insides and then putting all of that out and up😂😂😂 When we mobed here there was a paor of old shoe skates...hope I can do something neat..yours were wonderful. ❤❤❤❤😊
*The piano 🎹 rolls in their boxes on your bedroom wall look fantastic and elegant...it is a great decorating idea, Julie❣️👌😉 Yes, little touches here and there make a HUGE DIFFERENCE without a lot of effort putting up or taking down. I also attach art to the outer glass on picture frames...been doing that for YEARS...but this is the FIRST TIME I have seen anybody else do it, hahaha❣️😆 Have you been peeking in my windows, 🪟 Julie⁉️ 🤣🤣🤣 Your neutral decor looks fabulous and the little candle rings used like wreaths tied on your china hutch made ALL the difference❣️😉🎍🤍🎄🤎💯*
I love the idea of making Christmas decorating easier. Everyone is so busy with life. Thank you for sharing this concept, I've been doing it for years.
When I run across a cool piece of art like the one you cut down, I scan & save the image first, then I still have the full artwork image to use another way, like printing it on tissue paper to decoupage on something! It is very cool the way you envisioned 2 creations out of the one salvaged image. 🎄 Merry Christmas 🎄
I got some ice skates from Brooke Johnson The Junk Parlor this year. Usually she is way too high for me but finding ice skates in Alabama is probably not a reality.
I loved all the Christmas stems and berries. Love your night stands. Loved the crafts you showed. Especially how easy and simple it was to make it all festive and to take down. Love your grungy skates. It was all so beautiful.
I may try these sheets. The percale sheets that they push the last 20 yrs are not the percale sheets l used to buy and love. I've tried several from Macy's and still hunting for them. My mother used to get Dan River back in the day but even the quality of his percale has gotten to be low quality. I do however have an old pair but they are twin but still look new. They last forever. My mom used to iron her pillow cases!! I know right? But she said it protects the case from oils in our skin. Are they almost slippery and cool to the touch? Because high quality percale should be.
Yes! They are so good. It's kind of hard to even explain the way they feel. Cool and crisp. I would try, if you don't like you, can return. I tried the sateen- which is the most popular but after sleeping on the percle for years we just couldn't sleep on anything else.
Julie, May I ask what color of paint (and brand) that you used in your master bedroom? I love it, it’s so calming. Yes! I do like your simple Christmas decor, and I do the same. Why make more work for ourselves? 🎄
Thanks for showing way to.minimize decor. I wish I watched this before I tried to put something inside picutre frame. I'm struggling with fitting tiny metal things back in. I'm sure I will step on one barefoot!
Great! Bedroom is perfect. Love just adding a bit for easy take down. Two things in the LR that I would have altered -- I would have tied the small wreath along with your DIY tag onto the suitcase for more cohesion -- and I would have used horizonal green on top of cabinet to complement the already vertical large tree. Just some thoughts as we all love to play with these things.
Love the skates!!! I Thrift old white skates at Good Will whenever I find them. Most of them are naturally grunged already so I use the ordinary laces they come with - tie them together and throw in a few sprigs of greenery. They are great Christmas decor!
I have never commented on a video but I simply must. Please, please, reduce the number of times you say “ya all”. Great decor ideas but I almost didn’t watch until the end because of this annoying phrase that you over use.
Putting the picture on the glass was genius However storing it on the back of the picture for next year is one of the cleverest ideas I’ve heard in a long while
