This is the Jaclyn I've missed, calm not overly hyped, full of tips and explanations with a little twinkle in her eye. She looks healthier and happier, the time off has done her well. I'm glad she kept in the flaws and the fails, because we all have them and it's good to know that even a pro has rough days and are like us. Also I'm glad she explained and showed how to fix it.
Yes that is something that can't be taken away from Jaclyn. She really has the ability to teach. She's probably the only one I can watch from the start to the end, without skipping. In the end I always feel like I have learnt something. It's also one of the reasons I started following her. Back then she literally had 3 tutorials up. Maybe making products may not be her thing, but I think she should set up events/sessions where she teaches people direct and gets paid for it. Afterall we all have our own area of expertise and teaching is definitely hers ❤
im not a stan (i'm actually very critical of her actions) but i 100% agree she does GREAT tutorials. She explains things well and shows you what to do step by step
Honestly one of the best videos she’s put out in a long time. Between the room decor, the new angles, the different editing techniques she included, to her overall mood. Like this is the Jaclyn I want to keep watching! So happy for you girl. Keep up the amazing work!
I’ve watched her for YEARS and she is probably the most knowledgeable in makeup compared to every other beauty guru. She REALLY knows what she’s talking about and she’s helped me with my makeup ever since I was 17 :,) LOVE Jaclyn always.
I have watched Jaclyn since the beginning and have stuck with her through everything she has been through. Honestly this is the most genuine I've seen her in YEARS! From beginning to end. She looks happier and healthier and I'm glad it's finally shedding light in her videos. Jaclyn, keep doing what you're doing baby because it shows!
I prefer the lighting in this video so much more than when you’re sitting in front of a backdrop. It’s easier to see your skin and what the makeup actually looks like 💚
I think that it's because she's filming the way that she used to- alone. Whenever she had someone else and/or multiple people in the room during filming she would over-talk, seem very unnatural, etc.

As someone who’s not a “Stan” or “Hillster” I’m still genuinely happy to see her in a happier state and go back to her roots. Just a chill tutorial and not a Morphe QVC segment. I hope she continues to go in this direction
You are seriously one of the most resilient people ever. No matter what or how many times people knock you down you get back up. I am very impressed. You go girl. Those that are loyal will always be there.
If she was so resilient she wouldn't disintegrate every time something happened and hide from her customers/supporters for a month. She would face her adult responsibilities like an adult.
If the world was constantly shitting on you at every turn you would need time away to. She is a person and entitled to take time away from the public eye to collect herself and her thoughts. It's called responsibility. Companies have to do it all the time. If she can't handle the responsibilities of having her own company, then she shouldn't have one. No respect for her supporters whatsoever. I tried to be patient with her, but I'm sorry it's enablers like yourself that are the real problem.

I think over the years Jaclyn has become very self critical and that definitely doesn't help. But being on the internet isn't the best place either. When we see and hear other people criticising us, some of us can begin to play the same narrative in our minds. The negative self talk takes over. I think staying away from social media or atleast not reading comments until she is feeling better in herself will helpful for Jaclyn. She can use the time away to practice self love again and come back stronger.

I really don't care what anyone has to say about Jaclyn, she always does such a good job explaining things & educating her viewers. Like I never knew that about pot concealers, probably because I just never buy them, but that's nice info to know.
She's one of the OG RU-vidrs, she her information knowledge and techniques is tried and true, she explains things so well but that's a given, people's issue is because whenever she posts a video she got something to promote, I do feel a bit like them but I also love her, I even got myself her highlighter palletes cause when Jaclyn do something well, she does it so so well.

This is why Jaclyn is still so loved: she is the best at explaining what she’s doing and why. Doesn’t mean she’s always right; doesn’t mean makeup artists wouldn’t critique her techniques, but no one can deny she’s a great teacher.

@@annacabana12 If you want to learn makeup artists techniques,more no makeup makeup, or how to make makeup work on whatever skin then yes I would recommend Wayne and Lisa are some of,or the two, greatest but Jaclyn has a way of teaching makeup that resonates with *many* people. She is one of the greatest for her generation,so to speak, at teaching makeup on RU-vid. When she uploaded frequently she was undoubtedly the person to watch if you wanted to learn new 'up to date' makeup. I think that is just something she's naturally good at and will continue to be. Just mho anyways.😁❤❤

Colline Cummins girl she definitely re filmed this. u should be able to tell bc in her insta story she was freaking out and saying she just filmed but messed up, and in this video she noted how in the past she doesn’t put on mascara before setting spray. but she “intentionally” messed up on this video to make it seem like she didn’t refilm since the votes for her to post it were more than to refilm..

They got most of this stuff for free from the company so they would use it and show it on camera in what most people would call an ad🤦🏻♀️ So why do you hate when she is selling the stuff that she worked hard on? Never was a fan till today. This video was so fresh, authentic, and real. An honest unfiltered true personality shined through in this. I literally was cracking up when you had that handheld fan freaking out about why your setting spray made you oily. It reminded me of a situation happening to me and you just made yourself so relatable to us “normal” people. I really enjoyed this! ❤️💕
That is how she used to be. I stopped watching her videos prior to this because her looks were so over the top. I saw on insta she made a natural look and i went to youtube super fast to check it out because she used to give THE best easy tutorials and recommendations and they were bomb. And so easy to follow.

I know you’ve made your mistakes, we all have but I want to thank you for teaching me (and so many others) so much within the years, making us laugh, etc when maybe you weren’t feeling too great at the time. When I was binge drinking in college I developed a bug problem with alcohol dependency. My face bloated just like hers. Leave the girl alone and let her heal.
I’m so in love with this! Jaclyn has always been the reason why I LOVE makeup. I never ever looked at her differently even when she made a lot of mistakes (as every single human being in the world) and all of the scandal that was coming out.
