Simple vlog, daily life vlog.
Went to meet an old friend for lunch. It was nice to catch up with her and as both of us are in the midst of selling and changing our houses, we had a common topic.
Went for house viewings with my agent on Saturday. We viewed 4 houses, 2 of which are 3-room and 2 are 4-room HDB flats but still nothing really moves me to make an offer. The one we like most was out of our budget.
Made a simple spaghetti with butter and cheese after coming home. Also made a simple pasta salad on Monday during lunch.

A tip I picked up - when you find a house you like, visit the place at different times of the day, say in the morning and in the evening, to see what neighbours are like, noise levels, etc. For example, there may be activities that may be annoying to you. (Of course, we can’t be 100 per cent sure of everything.)

Super love greeneries and flowers. If i were to choose, it’ll be betta to have greeneries near to the front and at the back of the house (My current house is like tat😊). I dun like those which are blocked by flats (which can be a little 压迫感 at times and not so windy). When WFH, i can look at the trees and flowers during lunch time. These are some of my tots 😊. Hope u can find a comfy home as nice as the current one 🏡.

Some tips from my personal experience : (1) Never buy a flat near / infront or behind the lift, when the Ants do visit, they came by container loads non stop. (2) Try flat at the corner with no immediate neighbour (if have the stairs in btw 1 neighbour, it's OK too) (3) Get a top floor unblock unit if possible. (4) Visit the unit during the hottest time of the day. Good luck in your search. 😊

@eueuandbunny You can try some of the 3 or 4 room in Tampines. (There are the lots that are less than 6 -8 yrs) with some of this tips above. 😊

@eueuandbunny Compare to late 2021 / 2022 (When i got my resale), yes price now is higher. But you can still find some Gem worth checking out. Few have pricing that comparable to those in Sengkang / Punggol too. 😊 Must find slowly.

My senior unclefrnd always discourages single from buying 2 room flat Reason 1. in case married , no space 2.one road to cash poor if no job still can sublet or rent out one room for rental income to ease financial burden... but different pple different mindsets some prefer to stay alone, just sharing only 😅

Last time when I bought resale ..i stretched all my saving piggy bank money and all cpf service my hdb instalment cpp plus cash .... in a way force saving bah ..otherwise sometime don't know where my money goes to Planning downgrade to 2 rm flat in 3 to 5 yrs time.... just sharing only.

SG everything so expensive, near work/office is good but job/work changes are frequent too. Personally prefer to get something within budget with minimum loan. No loan = no stress 😅

Pretty sure you would have thought of this yourself as well, but just to put it out there... When looking for a new house, it would be good to take into consideration the distance from work place as well as how far are you from your closest friends... Just saying because I once made a wrong choice, just because I liked the house layout and the view, only to later realize I was away from a lot of things that mattered more, especially work commute...

Thank you! Work location and friends are factors that I was considering too. However where most of my friends are staying are quite far from where my office is. I did consider moving closer to my workplace but the property prices there are very high. Definitely more than I could afford. So I would choose staying near where my friends are. 😊 Besides, I wfh most days so it doesn’t matter too much.

I like the view from 4th flat, is it overlooking the Serangoon River? I hope you don't have to work till your actual retirement age. Every few years, the authorities will extend the official retirement age, sigh😥

I have a question. Is it easier or cheaper to buy pre owned homes in Singapore than a new one ? It’s just seems that if you would get one of the them you will spend tons of money on remodeling and renovation, no ?

It is cheaper to get a new flat actually but there are criteria and I don’t meet the criteria right now plus there’s no guarantee you will get one as it is through balloting. Even if you get one there’s waiting period of 3 years for it to be built and you might also not get the unit of your choice depending on your queue number. 😅

It’s 1% to buy a house. I use because she could help me to arrange all the viewings and drives us to the different locations and she would help to negotiate for me if we make an offer.
