Every day millions of youtubers promote random products while not being sponsored. No one blinks an eye. But the second the "video is sponsored by" hits the description box, everyone loses their minds. This is the same fucking thing, and if it makes you angry, you got some serious problems. Living in the capitalistic oriented world is not the prettiest thing ever but the great thing is, you can educate yourself and be smart enough to throw your money on what YOU want. +Nicole Darky oh no! you should try cover fx custom colour drops. maybe you could try the darkest shade of the hourglass one and add the custom colour drops to it? the custom colour drops are PURE PIGMENTS in a dropper form so you can deepen a foundation, or lighten etc. sometimes i use them to match my foundations better when i put fake tan on! but brands do need to make sure they create lots of shades to suit everyone

I thought the same until I tried some of their products. Really is worth the investment. My hourglass blush is always going missing from my bathroom (all my sisters love it) and I honestly don't go a day without using their powders in some way.

THERES A DISCLAIMER. what's the problem if it's sponsored?? And she's always used hourglass. It's not the first time, so she is sponsored by a brand she loves. Is that a RU-vid crime now??? Most of the losers commenting on "this is sponsored. Disappointed" don't appreciate honesty and get conned by other youtubers who do not add a disclaimer about being sponsored. So many youtubers are sponsored and do these people not know that there's a chance she might ACTUALLY like the product?? Oh no Chloe likes products from a brand who sponsored her. I love how people start moaning when they find out a RU-vidr is getting paid to talk about a product yet love them when they just talk about a product and not get paid. Isn't that just so stupid? Anyone in the comments that are complaining would just at the chance to do a sponsored video on one of they're favourite makeup brands. This is half of what a "RU-vid beauty guru" is about lol they're are always going to be sponsored videos and half the time the products are great. So if Chloe works hard then why shouldn't she get the rewards? It's still a review at the end of the day... Loved this video ❤️

+Tracey Kitchen I totally understand what your talking about but that's maybe what Gigi's Channel is all about but just because you feel that way with another RU-vidr doesn't mean that every single other person on RU-vid is like that? People just have a problem with sponsored videos because what it comes down to is their jealous that you tubers get sent free stuff, some people may not be but that's mostly what it is 😂. I've been subscribed to Chloe for nearly 2 years now and she's always been the same she's not in it for the money this is her job and her passion 😊. People need to get over the fact that you tubers make sponsored videos.

+kieramcgregor I think it has more to do with 4:55 onwards which people have seen as scripted. People have mentioned why would she not know the names of the products that she likes. Thats my assumption anyway. People dislike it because often they trust the guru and buy the product and it is nothing like what is peddled. I personally like hourglass but really, people want honest reviews ..not listen to their guru read from notes by the client. If hourglass just left her alone with presentation, people wouldnt be bothered

I've been watching Chloe since she made this channel after her first channel. Yes that she looked down for 30 seconds maybe she did have to read the names of the products but the other times she looked down she was clearly looking in the mirror ! 2nd, Chloe has always used "big vocabulary" 3nd she's ALWAYS BEEN very informative and if your think I'm lying check her videos when she would describe perfume scents (maybe if you been subscribed b4 you would've known) she's always been very detailed and very informative to the point where she makes it easy for me to either like/disliked the product by her description . She's also went in depth about mineral powders, tanning sprays ect. All I keep reading is " your not as funny, or spontaneous" when Chloe first started her channel she seemed more reserved than this video alone !!!!! Anywho good job Chloe, I'm happy you like hourglass, so do I! They're immaculate foundation is great for oily skin

Hey Chloe I have been watching your videos for over 3 years and I love what you do, but this was just so forced. You didn't come across as yourself and there were quite a few times it was hard not to notice that you were looking down to read a script. I believe you can say anything and express your views it it comes from a good place and my intentions are not to cause any drama or negativity, but just to say that unfortunately this wasn't enjoyable to watch like your normal videos are. Yes, sponsored videos are a given in your job and that doesn't bother me in the slightest - it was that it was so unbelievable and unnatural. I hope you choose to do sponsored videos in the future that you truly believe in and are excited about without the money being the underlying factor, or that you can have more of a say in how the information is delivered so it doesn't feel like I'm watching an infomercial. Really? Chloe loves hourglass products and was so excited to partner with them. Personally it's not an issue to see chloe reading a script or talking points because this IS an ad. Watching and liking and commenting to this is also supporting her. Not as if we can't trust her with other products as she's been honest to us about them. I couldn't buy this cause im broke af but I enjoy watching her just put on makeup and see how excited she was about this.

I know you love hourglass and have used them before but this is too informational/advertisement-like...the whole example of "miscelarre?" meaning to mix, didn't actually talk about the unique technique of the product just the fancy name of the method. But don't get me wrong I am happy you have this opportunity, been rooting for you since the funeral parlour days. To me the bronzers are the stand-out product of this video, they looked quite beautiful on the skin.

Everything she is saying isn't matching what she's doing....the powders suck. They don't even show up on the skin. Highlighting powders are supposed to be slightly creamy. I can tell those are dusty and powdery.

ok I have to comment because I love this girl and have watched her for years and she is hilarious!! First of all...she did not say...hey everyone buy all of these products! She has always loved their primer and their blush..bacon blush!! She is merely showing you how they look and telling you about them...which is essential what most you tubers do. 2nd of all...she told EVERYONE that it is sponsored and that she was sent the products! You know what is shitty...when you tubers go on and on about how amazing a product is and you don't know they are getting paid to tell you how awesome it is and it happens all the time! SO at least she is telling everyone it is sponsored. Rant over...love you Chloe and always will!

The liquid powder foundation by Hourglass is my literal life 🙌🏾🙌🏾 it's expensive but I think it's totally worth it!!! I have extremely oily skin and this foundation is sooooo good for my oily skin, and also the foundation makes your skin look really nice like a soft focus. It's seriously amazing!! I recommend this foundation for any oily skin person who is willing to spend quite a lot of dollars on the foundation, but seriously it's so worth it and beautiful! Hourglass has very beautiful products 💓💞

I usually don't really like sponsored videos because I feel like its just one big ad and nobody who does that kind of video will say what they don't like about the products, obviously. BUT she did have the name of the brand, in capital letters, in the title of the video and explained it in the description box. The one thing I didn't like about it was how it sounded like she was just reading information from a script for a commercial or something - "they're unlike anything in the cosmetic world!" or "they use a unique Italian technique" - I mean, it's pretty much textbook. It did make me wanna buy some of the products, so good job, I guess.

Hey, Chloe, I've been noticing this for quite some time now, hopefully some people will agree with me. You film these beautiful tutorials with great lighting, you put a lot of effort into your videos, but your camera is really not good. I mean, you're a huge youtuber and I've seen videos from people that have 10% of your amount of subscribers, and they have better cameras. It's hard to see the real texture of your skin, the complexity of the colours... It's actually really disappointing. I truly think you should invest in a better camera that translates the awesomeness of your channel. xx

This foundation on you looks so incredible! I adore your channel and you literally inspire me and I love how your videos are so chill and not so edited like other you tubers with all the loud music and fancy editing, you keep it simple and clean and that's what j love best! I have the luminous bronze light and it was worth every penny! I use it daily and I get compliments on my skin whenever I wear it! So beautiful!!

I really liked this look and it was nice to see how Hourglass intended certain products to be used. I am totally fine with sponsored content but I really didn't like the heavily scripted bits. I think brands want to with with you because of you and your followers, who again like you for you. I think the vast majority of people would rather see and learn about the products via your normal style of talking/video

I swear a large majority of your videos are promoted. I don't mind promoted videos but when it's so often it's clear to see its for money/free products/to get your channel out there. Not saying that's what she's doing, it's just so common for youtuber to get caught up in the sponsored video faze. I miss the old videos you did.

Okay, I looked at these powders today at Sephora and all I can say is that the video (which I really liked a lot) didn't do enough justice. These powders are amazing in person. Ended up buying one (ughhhh). I think I am going t o go broke cause I want another one I saw.

I'm blessed! I wasn't sure if I wanted these but I do now. I also bought the film noir mascara on a whim a few weeks ago and haven't looked back. I have super long lashes and I love that it's always moist but not too faced better than sex moist. It's build able still and doesn't get all over like a waxy mascara does. I haven't tried the bronzes I feared they would be too shimmery. Post some Instagram shots with them so we can get a better idea!!!

I didn't like this video at all. I am fan of hourglass, I think their products are amazing and have practically every product they sell, particulary their face powders. So, having said that, I cannot understand what prompted this cheap, forced and utterly boring video. I would have much rather seen a brand tutorial, where you actually convey your opinions about these products and how you personally like to use them. What we love about your videos is your spontainity, charm and sense of humor. This video felt like reading the hourglass webpage. So dissapointed.

I totally agree with you!!! the video definitely felt off to me.. it did not seem natural at all... not to mention I have never ever seen her use the products this way...I would have rather seen a realistic review/ tutorial then one where she shoved every product into a video and literally read what their website says it does or offers... in my opinion she didn't really give an actual, honest opinion...

if you watch her previous tutorials you can see that she uses hourglass products regularly. and also she needs to make money of something! read the description before you watch the video, it is stated that this video is sponsored, if you don't like sponsored videos, then go search one that is not :)

Chloe does her make up so quickly and effectively it always amazes me haha. If I did it that quick it wouldn't be near as precise and beautifully applied!
