Nowadays you can buy almost everything. You can go to the nearest supermarket and get whatever you need. For expample, wire net fence. So, people forgot how to make simple things.
I want to share how to make wire netting machine at home. This device doesn't require electricity and is completely manual.
I hope that video would be useful at least for educational purposes.

Add a motor and it becomes way more practical. This video is an excellent demonstration that makes it much simpler for someone else to implement after witnessing it in action.

This has been very useful to me. These wire meshes are very expensive in my country and venders sell at various prices. I managed to view my own mesh with this machine and received an order for 6 metres from a village man

There are a bunch of build channels that feel so fake, contrived and clickbaity. The Q is not one of those. Dude just taught me how chainlink fences are made without saying a single word, and I don't need to make this anytime soon but it's interesting and a build of value! Not like other channels with their insanity like M&Ms in makeup containers and ketchup in baloons

My grandfather up until 90s had workshop that made mesh with exact same method, tho not crank operated. I believe his tool was tapered on the edges (basically wire thickness = edge thickness) for better grip between wires?

it's great if you need it to patch up a fence. and by patching up I don't mean replacing an entire section, but replacing one or two wires that got cut or broken or deformed.
