One day I'll be cool enough to remove every safety feature from my tablesaw

Agreed. That made me wince seeing his hands go so close. Even with a riving knife and guard I still wouldn't.

So set width on the blade 4 inches then do 45 angle cuts

Scares the crap out of me not seeing a riving knife of a splitter at the end of the blade! Nice vid though!

This is 80 y.o. Craftsman 113 Table Saw has't riving knife initially, considering about adding micotic splitter to it

The space between the cleats look smaller than 6”. What is typical?

I like the idea although I don't think I trust that phone attachment cleat very much 😅 Otherwise it's very good

I notice there is no riving knife or splitter behind the blade to prevent kickbacks. Good luck!

It’s Craftsman 113 from 1950s. It was not equipped with riving knife. May be I’ll try Microjig splitter solution for it.

Are they drilled through the drywall into studs? Or did you use wood as your walls and not drywall?
@MrStukov

What’d you set the fence to, after ripping it to 45degrees?
@MrStukov

After ripping it I started to attach them to the wall. Could you clarify your question?

@@MrStukov ahh I see, you set the fence to 2 inches for ripping it at the 45 degree angle. Thank you!

@@tonytan0 Actually I take small piece of 4 inch piece and make center cut setting fence by eye, after that I adjust fence and make a test cut again. It was repeatable process until I get ideal center.

After ripping down plywood pieces to 4” Take those 4’s and reduce those in half stripes (strips) making them 2”. Then space out on wall every 6 inches. I personally found that the 2” strips on the wall were just a little light for my personal preference. I found 3” is just about right. Tip: after ea 45* cut sand or cut about an 1/8 of an inch from them. That way they’re not too sharp.
