I've been calling my modest piles of gold and silver coins (which you appear to have overtaken in weight this year, Sreetips!) a "stack" from the day I realized that there was a great deal of value in precious metals and I'm the furthest thing from a right winger. Being reasonably prepared is just good sense. It certainly helped recently when my local supermarkets in France had many empty shelves and plenty of sick shoppers running around.
Wow, another amazing video! Love the the ultra "orange crush" color of gold saturated aqua regia. Also love the color of your purified gold at the end! Great stuff and great video series!
Its cool because it deals with all the precious metals... silver, gold, platinum group metals all mixed up in one chemical soup that could only come from a backyard refiner like Sreetips. There's tonnes of other precious metal refining videos on RU-vid but very few of stockpot videos(that I've found). We're lucky he takes the time to film it.
"bunker stacking right wing preper" better to be right than wrong ;) btw atm 20 views and 6 likes... one of the channels with the best view to like ratios... just shows that you have the right content and right viewers...
@@crackrokmccaib Or, perhaps, my good sir, you are a hyper-partisan type bitter at the audacity of those who simply refuse to share your chosen political ideology resulting in the typical extreme over-generalization of wide swaths of people you have never met nor know absolutely anything about beyond their politics not running in exactly the same line as yours. Dare I assume you are an avid Hannity viewer? One thing I am confident about is you assuming that anyone that was to challenge you on your small-mindedness would be one of those commi loving liberals. ever wonder just how often that type of thinking may also be wrong?
The way those little leftover pieces of gold went towards each other and kinda clung to each other as soon as the drop of nitric hit them, was wild… never noticed that before.
Would be cool to put a little analog or digital clock next to your beaker or somewhere in the shot when you do your time lapse shots. It would show us how much time goes by! I love your videos. Keep up the great work
Yes but, he needs people to donate money. He is poor. Only $32,000.00 and much, much, more in silver and other precious metals in his safe. Poor guy. I think I will donate a couple thousand. NOT.
A rubber stopper with a right angle glass tube through the stopper that extends past the vacuum port would prevent it from getting aucked into the port.
Well, Sreetips...if there's any truth to you being a "Bunker-hugging Right Winged Prepper".....Then you would HAVE to to be the ONLY "Bunker Hugging Right Winged Prepper worth listening to....much less even I've considered liking ;)....As Always....wonderful informative video....the best out there in youtube land....congrats on 100,000....here's to the next!!! Would be interesting to see a spot plate detection series on the pregnant green solution just to see what might be in there. When you have a clean gold solution it's yellow/gold colored, but the impurities from the gf scrap gives you a really different appearance, so it would be neat to see if you could figure out what else was there. I know it would add steps and time, just think it would be cool from a teaching standpoint.
Would gf scrap be a good candidate for precipitating more than once with different precipitate like smb followed by copperas or do the potential values not warrant that much time and resource expense?
It's not a flask problem it's the taper adaptor that lets the solution run down the flask wall rather than into the middle of the pool of liquid. The old two hole bung worked because the two pipes were at different levels (vent up and liquid lower).
awesome. i asked previously about refining at home here in the uk, to which you kindly replied suggesting i watch refining with bleach which i watched multiple times. can you tell me what the yield difference might be, if any using this method opposed to acids? Also what other chemicals can be used? we cannot just go out and buy any strong acid here, which makes things rather difficult. thanks
Stack away, my friend, stack away. Most people that use words like "bunker" have never actually been in one, except our honorable vets, who have permission to use whatever language they want to!
Some Jojoba or almond oil in the shower will help that spot on your arm heal up. Good for keeping a balance of fresh clean skin on your body. Get rid of conditioner and add Almond and Jojoba oil. You can mix your own scent with essential oils. Your wife will love you that much more!
He could recycle the NOx fumes that he is producing to recover some nitric acid, but it seems that Sreetips does not bother and just buys and uses whatever acid he needs. You can't do everything yourself. You either refine gold or you make acids.
Make a liquid trap in your vacuum line by putting a sealed jar inline with the pump. Probably good practice regardless of what you are pumping…wouldn't want to suck something reactive into it.
hello sir, I hope you are always in good health, I am amazed by your consistency as a RU-vidr specializing in refining metals, especially precious metals, which I want from you further and earlier, please demonstrate the final stages of the complete process for the highest gold refining equivalent to 999.9 ( 4 number 9) If necessary you can test water weigh and get water test results with a table of numbers more than 193632, even more than that, the quality of your refining results can match the quality of pure gold FINE GOLD Bars PAMP or Sswiss refined types
Taking three nines gold and running it through an electrolytic gold cell would probably do it. Might even get it to five nines. But then you’ll need an instrument finely calibrated to assay. Anything over 999 parts per thousand is over-kill. In my opinion.
Mr. Sreetips, thank you for sharing your refining knowledge. Your videos have taught me alot about refining. If i can ask a question... Why is the gold sticking to the sides of my glass vessels? This wasn't happening at first but is happening regularly now. I have cleaned the glass wear. Thank you for any reply.
High purity gold will tend to stick together and settle quickly. Impurities will cause the gold to look dark brown, stay suspended. I can’t say why your gold clinging
Just wondering if you could give a summary of the quantities of chemicals used per batch in $? Also have you considered getting a water distillation kit? Maybe it would work out better in the long run financially
I accidentally killed my vacuum pump by getting nitric sucked into my line. I now have a 1 liter gas wash bottle setup inline before my new pump to catch any accidental fluids that might get sucked toward my pump up in the line
Zach, in refining every little bit counts. But the amount is so tiny that I just toss them. I’ll get me a coffee can and start stacking those used strips for a future video.
I stack!! If I had a bunker, I'd be "A BUNKER HUGING RIGHT WING PREPPER"!!!! I was dang proud to be a prepper when SHTF this year & I'm most definitely a conservative, so yes "right winged"!! It's better than having my head in the clouds!! I sure wasn't a left winged liberal as_h_ole either!! By the way Have a GREAT Day My Friend!!! Haha!!
Sreeptips if you did a poll, I bet more than 70% or maybe even 80% of your viewer would align with the right. Only we're not as vocal as the left, the left is always wanting to say what they think about the right, but it's rare that the right starts it. I know I've never come out and said anything about the left at all, till today and I've been watching your channel for a year and a half FAITHFULLY!!!!
@@rickthefatman8426 Hessonite is a little browner than Spessartite. I have quite a lot of rough Hessonite from Jeffrey mine, Asbestos, Qc. And some Spessartite from Oyo State, Nigeria. Spessartite is much brighter. I love all garnets, tho. Especially demantoids and tsavorites.
@@ricois3 True about the spessartite, love how they cut. I have some old stock hessionite from a lot I bought in Franklin, NC at factors frolic one year. It has the original tag on it. They're all quite small and flawed but they have a really nice gold/orange color with only a hint of the brown. Someday I'll cut one, though it will be quite small if it doesn't explode on the dop. Don't have any tsavorite, but I'd love to get some.
@@rickthefatman8426 Tsavorites are my favorite, but they're getting so expensive! I've cut 3 Hessonites from Jeffrey in the past, one 1.8ct, beautiful dark golden-orange color. I don't do that normally, but I'd be inclined to sell you rough if you'd like, I don't cut much these days and I have a lot of Hessonites that can cut 1ct+. Hit me up on Instagram @francoischarest_joaillier if you want.
Mr streettips , .. I’ve watched the last couple videos and I’m so interested I’m a new subscriber. I’m wondering how much money total you’ve spent on scrap and chemicals to get that 18.5 Troy ounces of pure 24k gold? Thank you
This is my hobby. My wife finds most of metals at yard sales and thrift stores. I don’t track expenses for each batch. I don’t know how much we spent on the scrap. That metal will have to be sold to pay my debts. I’m a quarter million in debt so while it looks like lots of wealth it’s just a drop in the bucket compared to that. They got me right where they want me.
sreetips damn man that sucks to hear... hopefully you chip away at it fast enough to pull your self out .. I was thinking this was your retirement your building up. I was super excited to maybe try something like that for retirement lol 😂
Sreetips was a chemist Sreetips ain't no more What he thought was H2O Was H2SO4....... Great videos Sreetips! Interesting to say the least! Subscribed,,
@sreetips been a subscriber for a while now. Love your content. I was just curious, for the amount paid for the jewelry and all of your chemicals, did you actually profit from this? I know how much the price of gold is. Not to mention all the time you spent on this. Thanks in advance...
An idea, when the inquarted cold crumbles into a powder and the silver chloride stays stuck to it, what about washing with ammonia? It should dissolve all silver chloride.
If the gold is properly inquarted and parted with nitric correctly, there will be very little, if any, silver chloride to have to deal with. I try to keep ammonia out of my refining processes.
I know this video is a year old. I only recently found you from a suggestion by RU-vid. That was about 6 months ago and I never paid close enough attention and thought the name was sTreetips. It was a about a week ago I saw there was no T. Anyway, I appreciate your videos. They're fascinating but I can't tell when you show your face and you're wearing your command ballcap if you're a Chief or Senior Chief.
Sreetips, been watching you for a year or so and I'm excited to start to run similar experiments. I'm curious where you get your concentrated nitric acid. It seems fairly difficult to get.
You can get it on eBay, dudadiesel, or other chemical companies. But they don’t sell to the public, you must be a company. And they won’t deliver to a residential address.
Hey brother, I get my nitric acid from the science company online, my name is a business name but I'm not sure if that matters. I know shipping for one is the same as for four or something like that, but the shipping is really expensive in my opinion. You can mess around with the quantity and get the best deal on shipping, at least thats the way i did it :) Hope this helps!

the quickest way to refined it is to take it to a smelter, weight it, smelt it and collect the check at 97% gold spot for that day.. no mess no fuss no deadly chemicals, it works for me each and every time.
@@sreetips point well taken.. metal trumps paper any time, but I am too lazy for all that rigmarole and wish I had the knoweledge and apparatus to do what you do. ;)
