Hi Zanet, The card "Get custom email" often shows up. But I do have a business email address provides by myweb host. Isn't there a place on the my business profile, where I can enter the email adress. I do have my business phone number in the business profile. Best regards

yes you can dismiss the card if you already have a domain. for the business email is that the owner / manager email on the business profile as that is likely to be associated with the business from Googles perspective

Hey Zanet, not sure if you’ve already covered this in a previous video or not, but I was wondering if you knew How I can tell if a map pack for a certain keyword and location will be easy for me to rank in? For example, it will be easy to rank in IF -if no one is using the keyword in their business name already -the 3 in the map pack, check if they are ranking in the organic serps and what their DA is and if it’s below 30 then you can over take them (not sure if this applies to the map pack) -and if all 3 Google maps listings are also ranking on the first page of Google then it’s a no go Are these correct? Did I miss any? Am I completely wrong and do you know what are the things that I would need to be looking for to know whether or not it will be a easy time to rank in the map pack?

Hi, it's a great question and not easy to provide you with a definitive answer. I would certainly recommend looking at what keywords rank in your area and using a map tool like local falcon or localo to do this with. I think it's worth remembering though that it is never a done deal, competition can change quickly if some one starts optimising there profile and Google can quickly change ranking factors. so as a strategy it's a great starting point as long as you build on it with other factors like E-E-A-T and brand strength

Great video as always, clear and to the point - Many thanks for sharing. I have a question… I need to complete my google profile, but when clicking on the card, it asks me to create a custom business email and try google workspace - if i skip it, it still shows complete my profile card, but if i click try workspace, it asks me to add a business email, not sure what to do so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Obviously I’d like to complete my profile to keep google happy! 😉

Fitst thanks for your kind words. Are you able to dismiss it, then refresh your browser cache I find on the ones I genuinely don't want this works bit can take around 30 minutes to propagate

@@ZanetDesign Thank you, yes, that worked well. I had to use MS Edge browser, as it didn't seem to work in Google Chrome funnily enough - even after waiting for it to propagate! :) Thanks again, keep up to great work.

great insights and it has me thinking of what things can we automate through software we have.....a new offer each month, add update each week, add photos/videos (through client reviews and automation of regular photos), automate asking for reviews, keeps google seeing the profile has a steady flow of activity.....then add the website posts getting added automatically imported into the profile.....I just need to find a question asker that asks questions in a time released fashion and through your insights we are killing it. Thanks

@@egdowney1 hi which bit of the video refers to "the software" I think the only mention in the video is the Google User Interface in a browser and the 1:1 consulting here - zanet.co.uk/gbp-optimisation/, is that what you are referring to?

I constantly have to dismiss the "add map to your website". As I offer a mobile business ( I serve clients at their houses) , I dont feel this is necessary. However, is this hurting my SEO/position? My profile circle is green nearly 99% of the time.

Its hard to say without looking through all the profile and getting a clear understanding of your business, but i would just check are you getting enquiries from the Google Profile and where do yuo rank in local keywords, if they are both good then its not likely to be causing you any harm

You can add a service area map that has your highlighted service area and not an address pin.

Google changed how reviews affect ranking right? They still are important but won’t directly rank you higher just purely though how many you have, correct?

yes it's never been that simple as it's a combination of 100s of factors combined and then constantly refined. what reviews do well is convert real customers to take action which indirectly gives awesome signals back to the algorithm, which will improve ranking. does that make sense?

the only thing left to complete my profile is 'get custom email' but i already have a custom email so it won't let me complete my profile. i still have the open orange circle.
