On this Haas machine the macros are available deep within one of the program menus. It's very similar to the visual quick code you see on the new machines but it's not as easy to access. It took some reading through the manual to track down the location in the system. Once in that menu we just select the probing method, give it a coordinate system to set, and the rough dimensions it should expect, the machine spits out the code by itself.
Hi. All of the tool offsets are measured relative to the Renishaw probe (which is always in the #1 slot). I do not use a touch off probe, I set the offsets manually by probing a clean surface and then jogging the tool down in increments of 0.0001" until I see the tool marking the material as I spin it around by hand. Once the tool has touched, I back it off 0.0001" and set the offset. Thanks for watching.
Hi, that's just the built in macro for the Reinishaw probe. P9023 refers to the subroutine I believe... The rest of the data in that line is just me specifying the nominal size of the part (x, y) and how far down the probe should go to do its measurement (-0.5").
Is your probe beeping when its getting bumped about by the ATC during tool changes etc you have a beep that keeps sounding ? If so the probe must be mega sensitive.
Thank you for answer. But main problem is that i have similar mashine like you, my mashine is "Mikron Haas vce-500" manufactured 1996. i watch tutorials about setting home position with renishaw, but all of that tutorials are done on new mashines with visual quick code or have own template on mashine for pocket, hole..etc. i need to know how to i write "g-code" for enishaw probe. Thank you.
our shop uses Featurecam software I'm use to the old version but have a hard time with the new version, is there a tutorial for this. Also can anyone show how to import and run a part using featurecam. Thanks
Just got a renishaw prob. I get everything in your program except for the A16. an A letter is not specified in the renishaw book. Could you fill me in.
Wish I could remember! Haven't used this machine in awhile. It must be an internal macro command for the probe itself. If yours is newer or uses different software/firmware it may not match exactly.
