The main issue is that most beginners don´t want to spend time analysing numbers, and don´t understand them. They want to get money fast without realy understand the bussinness. You can get lucky one or two times, but 8/10 they will be burn. Major P.S.: GREAT video, real contribution to beginners. Thanks
Love the breakdown on your process, Jimmy! For the ultra beginner out there, I would even go a step further to say try to invest in what you use if you have trouble narrowing down stocks to invest in A.K.A if you use an Apple phone, perhaps buy the stock.. In love with Starbucks coffee? Put the daily mocha latte down and buy the stock.. If you find yourself looking for stocks and still are unsure about which one to invest in, go for quality by way of looking at the bigger blue chips, the dividend kings and aristocrats that are safer bets with solid track records behind them.. and/or take Pokemon's adivce and catch em all by investing directly into an index.. that is actually how I began, VTSAX and VTI!
Thanks Jimmy, you da man, this was very helpful, straight to the point exact info, just what I like. Can you do a DCF value on (FL) Foot-Locker- and break down the company. I think it's currently undervalued and looks good for a long -term, I would like to know what you think. Thanks.
How effective is this "screener" approach for analyzing banks and insurance companies? I have no clue how to accurately compare and value financial companies
I had a question Jimmy I know it's important to compare businesses but I haven't found website that shows metrics to compare businesses and there numbers
this is exactly what i was looking for! Would you say that the same steps apply to etfs?? also can you go deeper and maybe offer examples on fair purchase pricing?
Hi Jimmy, I have downloaded your excel file to calculate the intrinsic value of a stock, but there some things which are not clear to me. (Expecially related to the second sheet of your file - Step 2 Projection Input). Is there anystep by step guide on how to properly manage the file? Thanks!
Jimmy, how to invest in tech stocks or gain a better understanding of their products if I don't have an IT background? Their websites or reports are full of tech jargons. ☹️
Hi Jim, I have just one short question and the questions is: Which debt is relevat to take in consideration, Total Debt to Equity? or Long Term Debt/Total Capital?
Is it necessary to listen to the earnings call? And read the proxy statement and read the 10 years back of 10k? I am not sure at what point i've done enough research. Thanks!
Hi Jimmy, I wonder if the previous livestreams are kept recorded, I would love to join the community if I could catch up with those previous videos. Thank you!
