I wanted to make devices like this - I used to make puppets out of cardboard - but somewhere along the line I contracted the infection of thinking it would be necessarily destroy my chances of future success on account of being a "dumb hobby" in the way of getting a job. So, I put it, and so many other hobbies I like, on the shelf to rot for decades. In the event it is not too late for me to pick up where I left off, I may take inspiration from these crafts you have shared, in this video. Especially that pulley.
