I was born in 97' and Im 17 now and I'm obsessed with the late 70s and 80s. I really can't stand my generation. Music and movies like this make me wish I was born in 1965 so I could have enjoyed my teenage years and early 20s in the 70s-80s bc it was such an amazing time. The fashion, the love, the music... It was a simpler time. A great time to live.

Funny about this songs and other pop songs from the mid 80s…I was in junior high then and getting into rock and metal, and I didn’t much like this sort of stuff. Or I did to an extent but not like maiden or priest etc. But this stuff couldn’t be escaped…it was on mtv and the radio non stop…and these days when I listen to it, I’m transported right back to those days, riding my bike to school, playing football, reading comic books…..my parents being far younger than I am now…Reagan being prez….how fortunate I was to grow up then……

Кто-то "ручками" постарался и создал это чудо. В авто едешь - просто полный драйв! И эта песня там есть. И я о них не забываю. Это время невозможно забыть. Куча новых инструментов, новых звуков, но нет еще компьютеров. Люди творили из головы. Сейчас возможностей больше, но все напоминает конвейер. Нажал кнопки и т.п. А еще включилось ИИ. Часто - "не цепляет". Как говорят, те же яйца, только сбоку. Слушайте старое и черпайте там вдохновение. Ребята в ту пору из шкуры вон лезли, чтобы попасть в топ 100 на 99 позицию.

The song reminds me when I bought a new car. January 15th 1985. An '85 Camaro. It had 12 miles on it. When I turn on the radio, this was the first song that was playing. I'll never forget that.

1980 people: The future will be awesome! 2020 people: I want to go back to the 80s.

I was lucky enough to be 15 years old in the winter of 1985, in the 8th grade when I went and saw this movie with my girl friend. Before the movie started, I'd just wasted about $10 at the arcade trying to beat Mr Sandman on Punch-Out!! to no avail, so needless to say we didn't get any snacks at the show. Very rarely has a movie and a song defined the teen generation of the time so perfectly like this did back in the mid 1980s. Although I didn't know it then, it was a great time to be alive.

Class of 1986 here. I remember listening to this going on a date with this cute redhead in high school. Still married to her 32 years later!
