I saw this tour at Milton Keynes Bowl on June 22nd 1986. I have some pictures on my channel. Was my first BIG concert, 75000 people. Will never forget it...
I don't believe! I was at that show! My first in Europe! UNBELIEVABLE! So many fantastic memories! Millions of thanks to God first and to my wonderful and unparalleled parents who allowed me to have such an experience for a 21-year-old guy from Brazil! I had arrived in Munich in the middle of December 1986! There was an eight, nine-story vinyl record store on the most important shopping street in southern Germany, Kaufingerstrasse, where I went for a walk in the first few days. Arriving there, I find a counter selling show tickets, all types and for months ahead! I didn't hesitate and bought this one right away together with one for The Mission! Many many thank indeed to the author of these images! MAXIMUM respect!
This is such a Godsend, I saw both legs, didn't know my wife to be caught the second swing and wanted her to see what I saw that first show in Oakland with that great setlist. Watching this band play the Kabuki, Warfield, open for Pretenders then smash the door wide open was such a joy. Had an older couple sitting next to me who had come aboard in the last few months asking me about the older songs, made it that much better seeing how so many were finding "my band" finally. Was so proud of them. Thanks very much for uploading, the fuzzy memories not so fuzzy.
This tour was the best waterfront opening, Mel's beat, Charlie's harmonics, McNeil's keys, don't know why they stopped this arrangement its a perfect concert opening
Wow. Love this very rare recording. Just blown away by the ending of the American based on Derek Forbes live intro on bass in early 1985. They only did American in the beginning of OUAT tour.
Than you very much, grazie mille! I'm a Simple minds fan since 1983. Btw ,do you have the San Siro Milan gig of July 1986? Again...thank you. Greetings from Italy
