I just finished listening to the entire album; it is a superb masterpiece! I have loved this album since I first bought the cassette tape back in 1986, and this live recording recaptures the magic of that one. Some highlights for me: Colours Fly and Catherine Wheels - Ged Grimes' bass line in this song is brilliant. Well, frankly the entire album is done so well. Charlie Burchill's guitar - Charlie still has the magic in his guitar playing. Frankly, you can see how his guitar playing has improved in the 40+ years since this album was released. It's so nice to hear the guitar more to the for than on the original recording. Jim Kerr's vocals - Jim still has the chops for singing these songs, every one of them he nails it. The entire band's playing this album live is done so well - it is so faithful to the original, but hearing this live recording makes it really come alive for me. New Gold Dream (81-82-83-84) really rocks out! It is a perfectly executed recording and the mixing and mastering is superb.

That was an astounding performance by everyone in the band. The sound was amazing, Charlie's guitar, the drumming and Jim's voice is excellent, strong as ever. Superb.🎉🎉🎉

A powerful and emotional performance of New Gold Dream in an inspiring venue in Paisley Abbey. Was lucky enough to be at the gig in Verona last year, a dream come true after the 1989 Verona performance. Simple Minds are on fire and for me the best live band on the planet.

I saw them live in Melbourne Australia in 1984. They were playing with The eurythmics which is who I wanted to see, but my then boyfriend loved Simple Minds. I left that concert a Simple Minds freak!!!!

Those beautiful flowing chords from Charlie on lead, the amazing bass lines. The drumming, amazing. Keyboards, powerful and reflective. Jim`s vocals. This current line up is incredible.

Hot damn! Loving that musicians are flipping the bird to ageism and are getting on with it - doing what is in them. I crave hearing/seeing them perform "Love Song". This was wonderful thank you Simple Minds. Jim Kerr still magnetic and charming; Charlie Burchill, one of the most underrated guitarist, is a master in using delay on rythmic riffs: guitar seems to hug you and guide you into the song.

The drummer who played during the recording of this track (April 1982) was actually Kenny Hyslop... and not Mel Gaynor, who later played on the album (with Mike Ogletree, pictured on the back sleeve).

What a band, I saw them at wembley stadium in 1989, street fighting years tour. My favorite album is live in the city of light 1987, wonderful versions of all the classics

Brillante Band Music Live da 40 anni su una Cresta di un' Onda che difficilmente è per la ritirata di quest' Onda di cui i Simple Minds la cavalcono sempre più!!
