They have done nothing. There are a hundred companies that say they have a scooter coming with so and so specs. When it's on the market that may be another story. This was posted a half year ago and nothing. I'll bet when summer of 2022 comes, one year later, it will still be unavailable.

And they couldn't make one yet. It's a scam, they just 3D printed some body panels and put it on an Ather . Ather is a result of years of research and development. Trust Ather, they are the only brand whose batteries didn't explode

There are other genuine EV startups that are putting real efforts and products like Ather and Ola. We should support them not these scammers. And if it turn out to be a scam , then it's gonna ruin the image of whole of indian EV startups and in turn kill many genuine startups. So better be careful than sorry.

Pre production models come with a random number or a used number.. Need not always be a new reg.

@@bipinmc123 pre production doesn't come with a number. Worst case they can have a special registration for road test like we see in test mules. RTO registers a vehicle only after it has been certified by govt authorities.

Exactly, neither simple one nor ola is doing such tests or making the scooters available for testing. 200 kms range for a scooter is highly doubted man, no matter whatever people say.

True bro. Actually we Indians really enthusiast about our environment and we really wanna change. These manufacturers, taking advantage of this enthusiasm. I dont understand wat is the meaning of a launch events when there product is not ready, delivery date is expected but not exact. How many units and in which cities they are available? List of service centers, dealers. No information at all.

Because it's a pre production model.. If anything bad happens public will take it negatively.. So unless it's fully tested usually they do not give..

If it uses o ring sealed chain then i am happy to live with it. Actually chain are best, simple and more efficient, if simple one has provided normal chain then it will surely be a headache to keep adjusting chain tightness after every 500-700kms. Whereas o ring chain last 5000kms until it requires adjustment

Regarding their mid drive motor, Tarun himself stated in one of his interviews that they are sourcing from an undisclosed European partner. I am not sure what do you mean by battery in-built with all vehicle parts??? If you like Ather, that's your choice, it might not facilitate everyone's requirements. At least not my requirements

@@anoops8333 Guys, many might stone me for this. Simple One is kinda scam. The bike they showed on release was an ather 450x. And lot of descripancies. No reviewer was allowed to ride the bike and only a walk around video. They say they will launch the bike by December but in reality, the bike is not even designed and they say they have to build a team of R&D. They don't have refund option of the Rs.1947 you have given to book. They said, they don't need investors initially and now they say they have investors who are helping them work. They delete all the previous twitter posts if they miss the deadline! PS: Now they have the refund option! I really hope I'm wrong.

It appears Ather and OLA are spreading strong rumors' about this new player... Only time will decide what is right. I am not too bothered about the numbers as long as the vehicle serves the purpose and it has a battery back-up (removable battery). Why are you not questioning the business model of Ather who are just looting its customers in the name of software updates? They have a subscription plans starting from Rs. 499/- Pls correct me if I am wrong. If you have purchased a Microsoft Windows license and expect to pay each month a subscription fee for their patches, would you be happy to pay? How can customers be so dumb in India?

But just for the sake of clarification, could you just check the registered simple one bike's name which was shown during the launch. It says it's registered to someone and the simple one is actually an ather 450. I'm not a supporter of Ather due to their obnoxious pricing, But I do support anything that's local and upcoming. What I'm saying is that people should not be taken for a ride.
