So I am one who missed the last video, but it was because I have been frantically trying to figure out my new Z8 and spending my video watching time on how to get up to speed on it. Hi Adam, as much as I enjoy the myriad of waterfall, mountain and coastal landscapes from around the world posted by various photographers after a while they get to be very ''Samey'' in their content. To see how these photographs have been dealt with in post and the different techniques and styles used is just as interesting and maybe even more informative. Though having said that I think it's important to keep the balance of content interesting. I also like the fact that your videos are not overly padded out with too many scenes of driving to and from destinations, walking to and fro with several different camera angles and even trips to the shops etc. I love the simplicity of your style but also know in real life it's just not that simple and comes from years of work and experience. Keep it up.

Another excellent tutorial based video Adam, the actual editing in lightroom, photoshop ect is easy once you’re confident in using all the features. The hardest part is recognising the mimimum to bring the scene to life, and to that end you are truly a master at creating impelling images.

Editing is not unlike playing a piece on the piano. The notes are the same for everyone, but each pianist will have their own take on it. There are times I would have taken a different approach, mainly because your method was unknown to me. Because of your videos I've been more willing to stack masks up to warm/cool and brighten areas to help guide the viewers eye to the story I'm trying to convey. Thanks!
@p1pepper

I enjoy these every bit as much as your in the field vlogs . My attention span is not compatible with the editing techniques of many others . I may do one or two masks on occasion ( focus stack ) , maybe luminosity but that's it for me . More than 20-30 min is MAX for me on any edit . I don't think I'm shortcutting and anything more would be unnoticeable and overkill to me . I've bought a few tutorials that after watching , I'll never apply the techniques ! KISS !

Hi Adam - Thank you so much for sharing your tips! As a long time iMac user, I was wondering if you were happy with using your iMac for processing and if you have had issues with using 5k to work on your images. I've been told that lower resolution is better for processing images? I am also wondering about the overall brightness level compared to other monitors and social media. Im just trying to figure out what direction to go in if I eventually get a Mac studio set up.

I really like the iMac, simple to use and gets the job done. You will have to calibrate the monitor though as it tend to be too bright if left on its own.

It's much better for learning if you tell us the goal before you begin the process of getting there. Simply starting out with creating a complex mask without telling us why you're making it isn't efficient. "Tell them what you're gonna tell them. Tell them. Then tell them what you told them." :) Otherwise, excellent.
