In this fascinating talk, Dr. Alex Korb highlights the myriad ways in which simple life changes can modify the activity and chemistry of key brain regions to promote resilience. From sunlight and social support to exercise and gratitude, Dr. Korb presents a talk that delves into both the neuroscience research and the personal experiences that have shaped his perspective on resilience.
Dr. Alex Korb is a neuroscientist, writer and coach. I've read his book "the upward spiral" and happened to stumble across this video without fully reading the title. needless to say I was very confused when someone who I thought was a stranger started bringing up the same exact studies as there were in Dr. Korb's book lol

Yes but... many of us have reactive depressions. It means we end up depressed because we find ourselves in an hostile environment, perhaps at work, of go through divorces, or have to move to rainy cities...so, how do we go about all this? We obviously lack those things this video mentioned and we developed depression because of that in the first place.

Yes and No... Dogmatically no... But in a less strict sense yes... There are certain rules and flexibilities in Alex Korb's theories that takes CBT to another level
