Your videos are always worth the watch. I've been living full time in my van for 1 full year as of 5/15 and I still find little nuggets of wisdom on your channel Amanda so thank you so much. As always, safe travels Peace
So in my minivan i decide on a multitasking safety feature for the passenger front seat …. I have it slid all the way forward to maximize room on that side and over the head rest i have several wool knit caps , then a small pillow case that has a random face printed on it and topped with a baseball hat … to complete the illusion on the seat right under the head i have a backpack that has a waterproof cover made out of an old coat. I cut slits in the back for the straps to fit into and then added zippers to the slits so it can still functions as a coat the four outer pouch pockets and two inner pockets contain all my supplies for daily hygiene and are paired with an old pair of pants that has wash clothes, towels and laundry bags … When all set up in the seat it looks like a person is there… i even have a fake phone made from an old case and the gut of a driveway solar light sewn to a glove i can put in MR Bill’s hand
I’ve gotten so many great ideas from you. I bought the same toilet on your recommendation and it’s been great for two years already. I actually store mine in one of those collapsible ottomans with a lid and it fits great in there.
Awesome suggestions!! I use many of the same as you; DT is a great resource for vanlife. I also use a bungie cord to hold my spray bottles. You and Matty are both so clever. Thank you!!❤
@@AdventuringWithAmanda I got the mini stove like you have today, I think I went to amazon for your channel. Thanks for the info on the stove. I love it, it’s such a great space saver.
Lucky this Amanda. I used to use cat litter for my toilet when I switched over to pellets... what a difference! easier to handle there's absolutely no smell it's the best. Going to go get my strainer today for my sink. Thanks for all the great ideas.
I just how uou are so matter of fact. I have large binder clips I use for hanging my cotton towels for privacy if I need to pull over to potty. Warning! If you go in the north western part of Washington into some of the forest areas, there are not alot of public restrooms unless you are a customer!
Thank you sooo much for explaining and showing in detail how you hook things up. So many RU-vidrs just say they did, but don't show HOW! I'm not very "crafty" and have had a hard time hanging up curtains, etc.
Everybody still wants to know, but always afraid to ask how van lifers handle their #1 and #2 priorities. You did a great job on this video too. I'm getting some of those binder clips and will use your amazon link/s. Thanks Amanda!
Bungee cords are awesome - lol - and Magnetics! Now you are talking! We have so many magnetic things in our van - including storage and to hang things! We went the NO BUILD approach, so finding things that work are fantastic and sometimes challenging. Nice tips/hacks - very helpful ideas! Keep making memories & adventure on! ~Karen & Shannon WOY
Get a clothes moving box with the bar in the center to hang clothes. That way your dressy clothes is hung on hangers. That’s how I keep my suits nice and wrinkled free. Also get a coleman cot to put a twin memory foam mattress on it, it’ll give you more storage space underneath and you could even put a small bed for your pup under it. Gives him space to walk around and put pee pee pads if he needs to go when you’re sleeping at night 😊
@@AdventuringWithAmanda I love my cot because I can put duffel bags and other stuff underneath so it helps a lot. At least it works for me. Mine is a 2009 Town & Country very versatile minivan.
As always a great video. I have been following you for some time and this Memorial weekend I will be taking my van out for the first time. I would love to share pictures with you 😜
Thank you so much! I actually got more ideas from this short video then I have from numerous videos of what. And thanks for keeping it real! Cuz 💩 happens, to all of us! On that note, where do you dispose of such? And also your urine buckets? Are there any good or not-so-good places? You can't just dump it anywhere right?
