Your deer/winter mantel is so lovely, and the pine garland is perfect to mimic the pine trees in the print. One thing that kind of bothers me is when I see books used for decoration. I've been seeing designers style rooms with the bindings turned inward so you're not distracted by titles; or they will cover them in kraft paper so they're all neutral colored, use them to elevate lamps and plants, etc. I guess I'm a purist and consider books kind of sacred objects to be read and treasured. At least you chose books to decorate your large mantel that had the titles showing...in gold print to go with your theme.

Love Love Love your winter decor. For years I have decorated my entire home inside and outside for winter. The outside is just a few things. A penguin and sled with ice skate on the porch, etc. There are 4 seasons and Christmas is a holiday. People decorate for Spring, Summer, Fall, Christmas, and skip over Winter. It has become so confused. If it could be kept separate, it would be a prettier environment. My friends and acquaintances are so impressed and happy. I have been asking for only winter ice trees, penguins, snowmen with no Christmas, {white or those that look like ice), for gifts for Christmas and my birthday…..I now have a lovely entire winter decor.

I love a wintery transition from Christmas. My wintery trees and deer stay out until February, and I live in the desert! I don't get so sad taking down the Christmas decorations now, because the wintery white ones get another month or so of use!!! Your wintery mantle is gorgeous!!!

I love the winter decorating...January for me is snowflakes and snowmen...basically a white with a bit of blue...I decorate my whole house..outside I have snowmen and snowflakes also...I put a small tree in my l room in january because my husband hated the Xmas tree gone...so it has snowflakes...then Valentine's st patty and Easter eggs....I do it all...it keeps me motivated and it is also work...I am 69 and have done this since first married 46 yrs ago...my friends thinks I'm crazy but it's ok to be crazy...lol..love all your vidioes and your husband is a sweet sweet man...you take good care of each other....⚘😁

When Christmas is over, I go back to my regular decor. In fact, I’m already getting Valentine Days ideas and have purchased a few things. Your mirror (the smaller one) is too gorgeous to cover up. I think it would be cool to center the mirror and add tons of candles with different heights and widths on both sides. Fun that you’re doing the course!❣️❣️❣️

I am a new subscriber. I too, this year did not want to do away with the winter look. We usually don’t have a lot of snow in our part of WV but we got a good one last week and it is cold. I used three metallic deer and two off white snowmen. I always am at a loss after Christmas. Your decor is beautiful. I did do a more Valentine theme in the kitchen..made heart ornaments out of cornstarch, baking soda , water and painted pink …kept my little tree in the kitchen .

I live in the hot tropics of northern Australia so no winter here..it’s either hot or hotter here. I decorated with mostly white for Christmas and I loved it so much I’m going to do it again at the end of this year! We don’t have Walmart, Michaels or any other the other homewares stores but I still love to see what you get from them. You have a great eye for decorating and colour. Love the idea of a course too.
