I purchased 3 yds of swimsuit lining that arrived today and I happened on this video. I'm so excited to try this lining on a bodycon dress. Tutorial is beautifully done!
I bought this pattern and a lovely stretch crushed velvet in midnight blue. This will be my first attempt at sewing in about 20 years and I hope it turns out well. Thanks so much for the tutorial, I'll be following it closely this afternoon!
What a fab dress, I love it😍. *Sigh*, I hope Simplicity starts distributing their patterns to Canadian stores again:/ Shipping from the U.S is brutal, lol.
Love watching your create, you make it look so simple. I wanted to know what is the fabric you are using for your dress. I also watched your new 8644 pants tutorial and was curious on that fabric as well
I’m stuck at the peel-a-boo bit trying to see the lining on. I managed to do the bottom on e but couldn’t get to the top. Can you do a video revisiting this for us beginners please. I’ve made it this far haha x
I love your videos so much, you have so much knowledge and understanding and you make it so easy to understand. You should do a video on how to read different patterns.
Mimi- does having the mesh make it hotter? I hot flash like crazy and live in Florida ( yes, crazy) but do want to wear more dresses, but also need the support.
Jennifer Smith in another Vid she says she cuts it half an inch shorter then needed so it will hold shape. Ex. If waist is a 30, cut 29 1/2. That is how she did for a skirt Vid she showed...
well while watching her, she didn't say if she did or didn't but in this one I believe she didn't cause the power net is the same size as the dress itself.
MsFredericks i think she said earlier in the sew along if you don’t want the peekaboo to just stitch straight across. It was when she was attaching the bodice fron to the skirt front.
I just found these videos lol I know she usually makes the lining half an inch smaller for power mesh but momma needs to look like a snack. 1 inch minimum 😂 Maybe 1.5 to 1.75
