I have three questions When will you get another bull to replace Orton or Titus. Same with John replacement Can I send you a university T shirt and what size are you.
I am sorry to hear about your sister Mat. My prayers are with you and your family. Death is never easy, but when it happens unexpectedly, it is such a gut punch.
I am very sorry for your loss, and i ask the moon and stars to watch over you and bring you strength and comfort. I agree pete has a calming voice, i had the last video of when he was working on the tractor playing yesterday while i did some bread baking I'd rather listen to that then tv or radio. Am sending love and hugs your way❤
My favorite moment was when Titus trotted up to you for a greeting and back scratch before turning into that inviting field of delicious grazing. Not something that would happen, or be safe, with most breeds or with cattle raised without hands-on kindness every day. “I’m proud to say that I am the seventh generation of my family to throw rocks into these woods.” Amazing to live such a life surrounded by deep family memories. Thank you for sharing this.
So funny , Titus being like a big puppy dog comming by to say thank you before he wanders off with the rest of the herd .. we had one like it years back .. :)
I found your channel a month ago. I love the content and yours and your families out look on life. You have actually got me to reevaluate my own life. Thanks so much for being a good influence on this sad world.
@@johncosgrove4896 lol. I have currently been doing that. A lot of it really hits home for me. I spent summers in my childhood on my grandads ranch in bastrop, tx that was a lot like just a few acres. There’s lots of nostalgia for me plus they are very decent people.
South Texas Cattle and Hay saying good morning!!!😁. Your pastures are looking nice and green for your winter pasture's. Your calves are nice and thick and healthy. We are darn lucky that we don't get severe winters in the lower tip of Texas and even get to cut and bale hay in November if weather permits. Both of you have a blesses weekend!!!
PETE &HILLIARE, Hello,,getting cool here, 40s at night 66 day,now getting rain from IAN, 24 HOURS SO getting ready for the butcher, eh? Stay well🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Pete, you know the simple things you do provide food for many and after some thought,I realized it IS those simple daily tasks of farming that actually make me love your channel so much.Dont change anything,You & Hillary are a great example of "living a dream" God Bless your entire family, and Thank You !
Hillary & Pete I found your channel I think about a year ago. I'm still here ! 🥰 Love watching you take care of the animals, the Farmer's Market, and most times you hunting for farm equipment. 🚜 I don't much get into when you repair them though lol. Big surprise eh lol. 😆 Please don't change how you do your channel! I look forward each day to watch what your doing. ❤️😉🌈 I love autumn and the colors of the leaves. Isn't it amazing and beautiful 😍.
It’s such a joy to learn details of farming from your videos. The grass, alfalfa, clover…the happy cattle. The gentle relationship you have with all your critters. Your lovely helpmate… The rocks… The difficult gate… The family history… The market… The tractors… But best of all, the pigs! Thanks for all you videos, Pete.
My son and I appreciate you and your family and what you share with us! You are absolutely right about the simplicity and complexity of farming and what it has to offer. Thank you for sharing and inspiring all that watch and keep producing this amazing content of what is real in this world!! You guys are an inspiration to what is real!! Thank you!
Just wanted you to know that I live in Fort Myers, FL and just had one of the worst few days of my life. I'm finally able to access the internet and your video was the first I watched (only can watch in 144P) Nice video to get my mind off the hurricane and being without power. God bless!
Pete and Hillary, it’s always a pleasure to see you both together and the mock feuding that goes on between the two of you. You make me smile in fact you make me laugh many times as you did this time on the video.… Calling over who’s got a knife to cut the Round Bale of hay😊 I really enjoy it when you go out to the field she’s a cattle and the baby cash. You have some very nice ones this year and it was nice seeing the surgeon a ration of calves and the coloration as it has changed over the last couple of years! I noticed you don’t have any white face calves..Do you think you ever will? I took some snapshots of his video today because the grass is so green with the clover and then the clouds in the blue sky and the beautiful cattle I’m so close to you.. makes for a beautiful paining😂❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️ I love it when you work on the old tractors but I don’t love it when it’s one video after another after another because I miss seeing the cattle & other animals…The piggies of sugar in the big do you head out in the field and definitely no longer afraid of you or the camera.!! Does that one particular weird often caused you trouble with grounding problems around the other livestock meaning, pigs and poultry? It’s so, can you treat for it over the winter?? Really enjoyed the video… It ended way too quickly!! We will look forward to the next one😂♥️♥️♥️
Just love watching your videos, so patient and so calming with all the animals, don’t think I have ever seen a farmer that seems to really enjoy what he is doing and the never ending hard work that goes into it…. Thank you
Don't know about anyone else, but when the inevitable happens I'll miss Patty and Tulip howling to high heaven when ever they see their "human staff". Happy to see your weather and fall are both improving. Our trees have been teasing with tiny bits of color until we got real temperature drops this week. I loved the dark, windy, rainy days we had but only because I didn't have to go out. My husband, poor guy, did go out and had no fun hauling in wood for the stove. Oh well. Take care till next time.
Routines are like time machines. Before you know it ten years pass and you ask where all that time went. It's almost like a very slow-moving dance and all the animals are moving to and fro to a happy, contented and enjoyable life.
It really is beautiful there today. Good morning! I loved seeing titus running off and frisking through the field and brownie wiggling her tail while she waited on you to fill her water bowl❤🐃🐖
The calmness and beauty comes through in every video you make. I love watching them, how you enjoy life, how your animals enjoy life. The simplest things are the best. I wish you and your family all the best and thank you for letting us into your life!
Building a wall is definitely a skill, just like digging a hole. My dad was a builder and he taught me to dig a hole. To this day it amazes me how few people can dig properly. I was bogged with a bunch of guys planting pine trees in the mountains once and not one could dig the wheel out, so I took the shovel and showed them how. Someone there is that loves a wall . . .
It is truly wonderful the relationship you have with your cattle Pete. To see Titus run over to you for a quick back rub, is really something special. All the personalities, like Patty the complainer. So much fun to watch.
I love watching you lead the cattle. Reminds me of my grandfather 60+ years ago. We didn’t use salt blocks. He salted the cattle and sheep from a sack. Both would follow him anywhere if he has a sack slung over his shoulder. Salting time was special to him. Gave him time to relax and admire his livestock.
Liked that you stopped to admire the trees, they are so pretty AND looking at the rocks for fossils...my father was a geologist so I too take note of rocks :)
You have a beautiful farm there. The pastures are beautiful and the cows are lucky they have them to graze on. Beautiful area in upstate NY. Have a great weekend!
Hello Pete and Hillary. A new season lies ahead. All the livestock on the farm looks very healthy. Both of you are good caretakers. Thank you for sharing your calm way of life with us. Thank you for sharing your videos with us. 🇺🇸
Excellent video Pete ;) , Hilary :) got animals sort that good to hear in video also got lots eggs make great foods with each meal for few days worth each to Lol ! My favorite farm is Omelets and French Toast with Cheese on toast with tomatos or mix vegetables on Lol !
Hello Pete & Hillary..thank you for the tour around the farm..I am an older gal...and back in the day we had a very large farm about 19 miles west from Brockville along the St. Lawrence River in Ontario Canada..we farmed for about twenty years..we had the sugar maples all over..and they where spectacular in color come fall...we raised beef cattle also...done the same as you both are doing..but hubby and I worked full time jobs ....but watching the cattle and seeing the trees start to turn...just brought back so many happy memories...of farm life with our four children..bless your heart and have a good weekend...
Hi Pete, my husband has been hooked on your videos! Same jokes between my husband and 14 yr old Grandson that you tell. I just love it. And the positive way of life is comforting in an all too often crowded busy world out here in Southern California. Blessings to you and Hilary , and your beautiful family. Wish we could go shopping at the farmers market out there. The stuff you cook looks great. The natural food you grow and sell would be great to feed my family.
Ahhh! Best channel to watch! Love everything and you two are amazing. Pasture looks gorgeous. Simply Beautiful all around. Blessings from southeast. GA.
Pete, you amuse me so much. You know your cattle, your cattle know you!! I sure do enjoy watching happy cattle!! And, I also love watching you and Hilarie doing your chores....most always with a smile, but, together. Yep, its the simplicity of it all................Bev in Maine
Thank you for your videos I have been watching for a year and a half maybe two years I enjoy the farmers market and you going through and showing everything you have to do to maintain your animals feed them how you feed them getting them into the stock trailer taking them to Market selling the meat thank you very very much absolutely enjoy your videos this one today is great
Watching you guys pull that twine off reminds me of the rope making machine my uncle built. You could tie a bunch of used bailing twine together with the two ends of the rig at either end of Grandma's yard. Then one of us cousins could crank away while another would try to hold the spacer. It was always good if you could pile a couple of the littler cousins on the sled end. Fun use for all that left over twine.
I really enjoy your channel. You have done so much in your life. You have ran a company and you can manage a farm. You are patient and I know that you could be stern if you wanted to be. I had a supervisor who was a lots like you. He was a good man. Thanks for doing your channel.
.... Yes Pete .... routines from a far seem repetitious but from up close there are many little variations ... we are not completely robotic and hope we never are, we will leave that to the machines .... routine is a good thing to maximize use of time and efficiency. ...... There is something that I enjoy about you moving the herd .... there sure has been a transition in the pig area, both in the size of the stock and the vegetation/ground ... thx for the share .. as always .. never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans ....
My husband and totally enjoy all of your videos, wish we were closer so we could go to your farm market( we live in Nova Scotia) we always watch in amazement as you restore the tractors or fix the clocks, how you get things back together without extra parts left over, please continue the variety. We love it!
Titus came to get a rub for validation - then returns to browsing the new pasture - priceless! Thank you for another great video. I was raised on a farm too. The need for peaceful, honest interactions stays with me - and I need to turn OFF political news - and step outside. Thank you for making these videos - they help me calm down. Stay well!
On the family farm I was brought on was approx 275 metres (900ft.) above sea level and we had fossilized sea shells you could dig whole from the solid clay on the edge of a creek they were approx 50mm (2 inches) by 40mm (1½ inches) and over 5mm ( ¼ inch) thick shells. These fossils were dated at 11 million years old by the University of Otago in NZ and me being a 10 year old I never kept any samples, this would have been the mid 60's. Greetings from New Zealand.
I stop what I'm doing when you post a new video. You, Hilary and the farm, get my day started and I reflect on yours as I go thru mine. Thanks again! We are in Los Lunas, NM (south of Albuquerque) and this morning our temp was a crisp 46°. Color on the river is starting to show. The International Balloon fiesta starts tomorrow, that's pretty much the kickoff to the holiday seasons.
