Isaac Hayes said the first time he heard George Michael he thought George was black. It's no surprise that George and Mick Hucknall are two of the greatest white soul singers that came out of the UK. The talent is off the scale.

great choice for high level music lovers. Simply Red came out in the eighties and was a total success. Mick Hucknall is in my opinion the best voice of the end of the last century, live he is even better. Fantastic cover of If You Don't Know Me By Now, it's spectacular and better than the original. So much talent , and soul, nothing about autotunes and others. Check Stars and Holding back the years , both live versions are amazing. Not private school. Virtually all UK state-run high schools had mandatory uniforms in 80’s. My family were not well off, but we still had to come up with the uniform or I wouldn’t be allowed in school.

This was the jam bruh. My guy sung with so much soul too. Great job on the reaction and the break down when it comes to how it made you feel. Same bruh R&B, Jazz and Blues was played around the house a lot especially around holidays like this memorial day. We used to put the speaker in the Window from the Record player, drop that needle and vibe until the sunsets or the BBQ finish sometimes which ever comes first. I understand your feelings when it comes to music like this or artist like this as well.

Why can't a red headed white person from England have soul!!!!! Some of the most moving tracks ever written are by white British artists... Stereotyping!!!! He wrote this at 17 yrs age about his mother leaving him & never coming back & you can hear the pain in his voice & lyrics. He's from Manchester, England & ALL kids wear school uniforms here so that's not a private school it's a state school uniform, we have uniforms so that every child is equal at school.
