Was just getting ready to purchase the 100’ Simpson monster hose. I’m so glad I ran across your video, now I’m purchasing the the 100’ ultimate Washer Hose. Thanks for the info
Lucky me...I appreciate the info!! I was just a whisker away from getting unnecessary Simpson. For home, not even weekly use. Ultimate washer here i come. Thanks!
I completely agree with you on the simpson being so heavy. The bad thing is that now the other hose is more expensive probably because people have been buying it more because of this video.
Davis Pressure & Lawn, LLC Nice informative video. Im a startup and had the Simpson hose on my "to buy" list! Now I need to research this Ultimate Wash hose.
I just bought another one to make it 100ft. Damn it. But i have EVERYTHING simpson. I believe it. Most people hate how easy it kinks up ,but they don't have swivel or ball valve
I’ve got the exact Simpson hose you’re referencing it. It’s a good hose but I can agree, that sucker is a beast to move and pull. It’s exhausting! I replaced my Landa hoses with it and those were even heavier and worse! Thank you for this.
You are absolutely right! I have a 100ft hose on my residential pressure washing rig AND a 50 foot hose on my Mobile Detailing trailer! If only I knew now what I didn't know then! The hose doesn't KINK but it sure loves to coil! I was looking for reviews on the interchange pressure washer hose and it brought be here
I got the Simpson hose (came with the PW). It's great quality, but too damn heavy, just like you said. Used it yesterday and it tired my arm --constantly fighting it, and the same coiling it when done. Gotta get a lighter non-maring as you suggested.
omg this hose! This hose killed me on my first pressure washing job. Too strong to handle, it's just overkill. Luckily I ordered it through amazon and was able to return it and buy another one more flexible and functional.
They got me for four leaking hoses!! Just starting out and purchased Simpson hoses…. each connector on each hose leaked. Lowes would not refund my purchase.
A power washers rating would be at the nozzle, correct? Approximately how much pressure is IN the hose? Can I use and air hose reel for a pressure washer?
I'm sorry I'm just seeing this. ABSOLUTELY NOT. Air hoses are usually rated around 300 PSI. You need a hose rated above your pressure washer. Keep in mind a 3000 PSI hose is tested to withstand 3x the pressure but it's not good to keep maxing it out. I would look for 3000-5000 psi as a sweet spot.
Just now putting together my set up and ordered these, I got 2 100ft hoses and they weigh a ton and I'm pretty sure they are overkill. I am returning them and purchasing something lighter. Thanks for the video
Can I connect (ad on) the ultimate to my already Simpson 3600 PSI Pressure Washer hose with QC fittings? My hose is 50' wanted to ad another 100'. Any special attachments i'll need?
I’m buying a Simpson washer 3200psi comes with a 25’ 1/4” hose. I want to buy an extra 50’ hose for around the house is a 3/8” hose ok or do I need to stick with the same 1/4” if I want to have 75’ total?
Have u ever heard of a pressure washer hose that coiled back on itself & melted together? I just had a new hose do just that but don't know why? This happened about 7 ft. away from the pressure washer! It was 50 degrees outside. The outer rubber coating melted at four points where the hose touched itself & now can I can see the metal wrap. Is this a freak occurrence?
I returned mine the day after I got it! Thank goodness for Lowe’s liberal return policy because this hose sucks!! I got it for detailing and it is awful to use!! Glad I changed!!
I have 2 questions. 1: can I use a garden hose to connect my pressure washer to the water source and a pressure washing hose to connect my washer to my wand? 2: can I use a garden hose to connect my pressure washer to my surface cleaner or do I need a specific kind
When it comes to pressure washer connector fittings, I tend to have horrible luck with the fitting blowing out its washer. I don't mean the female connector because that has an easy replacement. I'm talking about the pressure washer hose itself that has a clamped coupling on it. Once that middle piece between the female and the coupling blows out I'm at a loss and cannot use my hoses any longer. Can you do a video on how to repair hoses that have been worn out in this manner? Or do you have any advice on how to repair a hose that has had this part blown out? I cannot seem to get a washer in there and no size seems to make a difference. However since the coupling is clamped on I cannot replace it.
Simpson hoses have terrible quick connections. I bought 4 Simpson hoses with quick connections and all leak. Not bitter but an expensive lesson to learn for a start-up operation.
Can’t stand the 50 ft hose that came with my 3.5 Gpm Simpson. It’s way way to stiff and doesn’t move around well what so ever. I want to get a 100 ft and that’s what brought me here.
@@PowerCleanPS ok so my dewalt machine is 3400psi gas motor, it's very good for my around the house use but the hose is just too short, i want to upgrade to 100ft hose , would my pressure with the 100ft drop at the tip
Hello, Your thoughts on This simpson model: Mosel #ALH3228-S One job I want to complete on my house is to spray a chlorinated 5-6% solution on roof to clean off mold. Would the above model be a good choice?
Good question. I don't have a lot of experience in detail cars with a pressure washer but I would overall recommend no. It is a heavy hose at times and moving it around a car would be even more laborious than a house.
When you were talking about The Simpson you said it was rated at $4,000 PSI when it says 4500 and then when you're talking about the hose that you bought you said that one does $4,000 which it does but then when you compare it to the Simpson you said The Simpson does 5,000 psi. It's together brother lol
Hello, we just purchased a 4200 psi Simpson PW, I'm having trouble pushing hi pressure line onto the pump, anyone else have this problem? And tips? Thanks.
@@PowerCleanPS You're kidding? The 5/16 in. x 25 ft. MorFlex hose is the non-marring, kink and abrasion resistant hose that came with a very popular pressure washer i bought on Amazon. A Simpson PS3228 Powershot 3300 PSI 2.5 GPM.
@@gingerwood1969 I know. Especially since there are only 3 size pressure washer hoses. 1/4",5/16", and 3/8". I have found that the 5/16" is considered a semi pro or commercial grade mid sized hose capable of withstanding 2700-3600 PSI. I just bought a 50' because the 25' that came with my Simpson is far to small. I love how easy it is to manage and coil up compared to the 3/8".
@@Twoolz1564 I bought the Simpson 3700 psi and the 5/16 is what it came with. The only issue with the hose is that it has about 10 tiny holes near the gun and water sprays all over. Definitely a flaw in production.
