Nothing said about whether or not these hangers can be used on pressure treated lumber. They say steel but not stainless steel.

Hello my name is Tony I'm building a 20ft X 56f patio wood, stucco, tile roofing, 8 pillars my old school arquitect is asking for a SSW for each of those pillars, is that over kill or what? I'll be matching the look at the front of the home, build an 2014 the 3 pillars on the front just have wood supports on them not any metal nor a SSW that's it make sense to have a SSW on each one of those pillars or it's that really overkill? please let me know Thanks
