Hello guys, in this video i will show you how to apply the Simpson's Biplane method to estimated the ejection fraction. Don't forget to subscribe! - INSTAGRAM: @The_echo_lady - TWITTER: @The_echo_lady
Thank you so much! Thatt was really made simple and easy! I joind an ECHO course and got frustrated from the echocardiography, because the referents were basically reading the powerpoints slides. This short video explained what they failed to explain in one hour! Keep going please!
I don't think the formula used for calculating the ejection fraction in the echo lady video is accurate, the EF is the ratio of the volume of blood ejected by the left ventricle to the total stroke volume, expressed as a percentage. So: EF =[ (EDV--- ESV)×100] ÷stroke volume e.g. [(130--- 80)]×100 ÷ 70 = 71.43% Thanks Rafik M Hanna MD FCAP FRCPC FRCPATH FRCPA FACP FACC FRCP FACS FACOG FACE DDS JD PHD Engineer
