Uploaded for a University assignment. I do not own the Simpsons or anything to do with them. I was just having trouble finding a decent quality version to put into my presentation.
And then half left the show to write for Futurama and the new lead consciously took Homer's character and, thus, the whole character of Springfield into a Family Guy-esque direction and so ended the Golden Era of The Simpsons ...... RIP 😭😭😭 Conan O'Brian used to write for the show, too!
@AndrewWithEase11 11 what kind of mindless bs is that too say? And what did it have to do with what I said. The Simpsons is still continuing too Produce great episodes. Anything else you wanna say Robot?
@@ericjohnson6634 So you might be reading a second story to your child at bedtime while residing on the second story of an apartment building ... how very confusing.
Aw, you cut short the best line. "You have joined the sacred Order of the Stonecutters who since ancient times have split the rocks of ignorance that obscure the light of knowledge and truth. Now, let's all get drunk and play ping pong!"
Being around the age of 13 when the Simpsons was in its glory days, going back now and watching the classic episodes, I get a lot of jokes I didn't get in the mid 90s
@@TwoNumbahNiens So many says that, BUT Season 8 is so good, it also has THE best character of the Simpsons in it, Hank Scorpio, only there for around 6 minutes, but damn, does he do a good job.
I mean, the Freemasons that the Stonecutters are based off of do have the Illuminati eye (Eye of Providence) as one of their symbols and some conspiracy theorists consider the two groups linked.
I like to think the Stone Cutters had each guy spontaneously think of something to say that they do and sort of took turns doing improvised solos on that part when they were singing the song, for some of it, anyway. That's why they kind of zoomed in on a different guy for most of the lines about the things they do. The things they say kind of show their individual personalities.
I mean, the Stonecutters are based off of the Freemasons and some people consider the latter be an evil organization that controls the world or something.
After seeing this again I just realized the line that they "split the rocks of ignorance that obscure the light of knowledge and truth" is directly refuted by their song. I miss old Simpsons
Nothing is refuted. They destroy the ignorance of their new members and shine the light of knowledge and truth on themselves, for the sole benefit of their members. Everyone else is left in the dark.
so there are a total of 908 stonecutters (including Homer), and there are 32 stonecutters at the table, singing and drinking, so where are the other 876 stonecutters?
If they're anything like the real Freemasons, then they're probably mostly older men or those who signed up for the connections, and rarely, if ever, show up for the standard meetings (or the apparent raising of a new member). If they're as all-powerful as they say, then those 876 are probably out running the world as zfoxfire said.
@@alexl.4362 masons, just look at the name "stonecutters", a lot of inside jokes are in this episode too e.g. the oath which is taking the pl$$ out of the gruesome oath they have to swear by.
The Kids vs Adults song is phenomenal, The Monorail song, and Who needs the Kwiki Mart. I also love Homer face even though nobody likes that episode. I think its fine.
Nah... See my Vest - is the best - song that Simpsons ever made (sing in the rhythm of it) Cut Every Corner & Maison Derriere are also better, Stonecutter's song is maybe #4...
DAMN!!! The final, "We DOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!" Makes me want to take up a sword and launch myself via catapult into the middle of a 1,400's-battlefield!! It genuinely psyches me up!!!
I always laugh at the burn on Steve Guttenberg in this song. And then I think of the song when I see him in any old film. And when I say old I mean I've only seen him in one, brief role this century. Ah, he'll always have "Short Circuit", "Three Men and a Baby" and the first "Police Academy".
