If you have the transducer plugged into the back of the Evo3 and there is a single display on the boat it does not need to be set to multi. That is for multiple displays or networked to an S5100.
Hi mate, I installed NSS EVO3 + TM275HLW, the sounder function only ECHO works, but nothing on SIDESCAN and DOWNSCAN, is that correct ? This transducer doesn't support SIDESCAN DOWNSCAN ? Thanks.
Very informative Surge, Do you recomend having a seperate NEMA2K power supply for the Simrad NSS12 EVO3"? At the present, my N2K trunk line is only using one power cord supplying all power to my Suzuki C10 gauges, and EVO3.
Sorry for the late reply. There’s an isolator to use in order to have engine gauge display turn on with the key and y’all with the rest of the n2k system. Both networks are common but power up independently.
Would you reccomend using a S5100 with the B275LH when deep dropping to 1000 to 1500 feet or only use the NSS mfd? Would you see any benefits at all? Extra power or detail? Thanks
Great video Surge. Couple questions: my b275lhw xSonic version has 2 leads/plugs. Does it matter which plug goes into which port. One of the ports is blue. Also, I have an older NSS9evo2 I want to add as a viewing screen. How should I connect it to the 12evo3, nmea or ethernet? Thank you!
Hi. Thanks. Connect the transducer to the Evo3 with high frequency on Chanel 1. Low freq on Chanel 2. Then interface the Evo’s together with both Ethernet and N2K.
His urge we have the NSS12evo3 with external module but having problems with the dual sonar screen. I cant get the dual screens to show different chirp. Whenever I change one it changes the other. Any ideas
@@CanyonDiver hi Surge, yes it's the S5100, checked the cables are in the correct position but when I have the dual and select CH2 low chirp it changes it on both screens for some reason

Hi, I have a nss16 evo3 (software version 3) s5100 and b275, the touch screen works and after it does not work and after it works. I put a new battery, I changed the nss but the problem is the same. Do you have the same problem with nss evo3 Thank you for your reply
Thanks I have different issue with my lowrance hds7 gen 3, where same transducer can either be connected to high or low chirp cable at a time... the unit recognizes transducer only when high chirp cable is connected but nog when low chirp is connected. Anybody has a clue?
I have an evo2 with a 275 LHW transducer. How do I go about doing this with that unit? Even my 15 yr. old lowrance unit was capable of using dual beam transducer. I mean the transducer only comes with one cord coming out of it so how does an extra port on the back of the evo3 help?
