This mantra relates directly to healing and protective energy represented by Guru Ram Das. The mantra is comprised of two parts. The first part is a nirgun mantra (Guru Guru Wahe Guru). This projects the mind to the source of knowledge and ecstasy. The second part is a sirgun mantra (Guru Ram Das Guru). This means the wisdom that comes as a servant of the infinite. It is the mantra of humility. It reconnects the experience of the finite to infinity.
I've come to realize that the only people I need in my life are the ones who need me in theirs. Even when I have nothing else to offer them but myself.
Simrit Kaur is fast becoming my favorite Mantra singer. She not only sings with a beautiful voice. But with Passion and Understanding that truly shines from within.
SIMRIT!!!!! Holy Goddess!!! This might be the most beautiful piece I've experienced.... WOW. Your voice is is an instant portal -- it opens me up immediately ---even if I sit with negativity--like God, your music doesn't even give me a choice to sit with it!!! You are tru't have it any other wayly, truly connected, sis. Thank you for connecting us with selfless Love (i know you would not have it any other way)! I AM so proud of you, sweet Soul Sister. Thanks for You

The Alabaster Jar has been opened from this song of heart and spirit. And I have been anointed from the voice who holds the most sacred Truth. Peace and Blessings.
Guru Guru Wahe Guru, Guru Ram Das Guru Translation:Guru - teacher or guide that brings one from the darkness to the light. Wahe - exclamation of ecstacy like ''WOW!'' Ram Das - literally translates as "God's Servant" This mantra was given to Yogi Bhajan by Guru Ram Das in His astral self. As Guru Ram Das, the fourth Guru was known for humility and healing abilities this mantra is also known for its healing qualities and for imparting humility to the one who chants it.

I really dunno if that song was on any album. I found it on Simrit's homepage as free download and decided to put it on youtube. Glad you enjoyed so much!
I went to your site and could not find a link to download this...is there any other way? I really love this, it has become a song of deliverance for me in a time when I need deep healing from grief.
Ram Dass is really beautiful! I've also really enjoyed watching lots of Master Sri Avinash at the moment. #SriAvinashDo Sri Avinash's talks have benefited me immensely.
I think this song is on Simrit's Album The Oracle Sessions...! Here is a link to the album on iTunes: The Oracle Sessions by Simrit itunes.apple.com/us/album/the-oracle-sessions/id694364971
good, could someone translate the words of Smrit into this mantra? I do not speak English, and she puts a very personal touch to this mantra with a few words ... !! gracias, bendiciones
I find her simplistic melodies just boring - and you go on for like 20min with no break and no creative change up with the dynamics of the music...like - you need to learn something about music
It's meant as a meditation...so you can be lulled into a meditative space without getting too caught up in complicated melodies and changing dynamics of music.... how do you know what her musical training/background is....? perhaps you need to learn something about being more mindful of your comments.... it's easy to say whatever you want sitting behind a computer screen, but that doesn't give anyone full freedom to go on spouting whatever comes to mind. Look around at the other comments, people took something positive away from it. If it's not for you, it's not for you, click out and merrily go on your way. Why leave a bad taste in everyone else's mouth for having to read this....?
