Everyone has a preference when it comes to toys. Dolls are generally marketed to girls because of the appeal but it doesn't mean boys aren't allowed to play with it either. It's Sad what happened to you.🙁

If you are on the computer : you can go in game and press the keyboard keys - Ctrl and Shift and C - and then type: testingcheats true - and then type: death.toggle : doing that disables all deaths in the game! I have an enjoyment of all the Sims, each unique and special; so I have a specific gameplay that has no deaths and no aging - - the game never ends in that mode! All the Sims stay the same age and never die, ever! I didn't know if you've ever heard of the ingame developer's console, so I explained it as simple as possible. Being a brain damaged military Veteran; makes being super simple second-hand to me, so I'm pretty good at that! You can also do some "Googling" and look up all the features of the developer's console in The Sims 4. The developer's console is something used when designing the game and testing it; but they left it in the game. It includes the ability to type: money - and whatever amount you want, and "poof" your Sims have that amount! It also gives access to the Reset unresponsive Sims features, by Shift-clicking Sims with the "cheats" activated. I don't think of it as "cheating;" because a lot of times I must have that reset feature to 'unfreeze' unresponsive Sims a lot, and I use it to make fictional stories by changing households to match the story ideas that I have! Maybe that would be a good idea for an eight year old; to prevent aging and deaths? I know how to swap the save folder, so I have different gameplays; and, my most relaxing one is the one where everything stays "perfect" - and no Sims suddenly die, because I toggled it off in the developer's ingame console on the computer! : - )

Oh, I forgot to also mention : that using the Shift-click options available through developer commands - All the Needs for the Household or even the whole world can be totally disabled!! Making Sims like Toys, that's like the best way to have unrealistic Fun! I too enjoy that sometimes when just wanting to relax and enjoy the unique world of The Sims. So making use of the developer's console on computer can add so much to the base game without using any mods at all! I hope that this advice is found to be helpful.

@@KateEmerald I think I had 3 singing barbies and they were the most precious things I owned. They had a button on their back and when you pressed it, they started playing a snippet of their song in the movie! Ah with this speed build you triggered a core memory in me! 😅❤️

@@KateEmerald this has given me a new challenge idea. The Barbie challenge lol Set your game to long lifespan, do your best to recreate barbie and ken. Live in this house and do every career, getting at least one promotion before you move on. You would choos the Renaissance sim aspiration and could never have children lol

Yes, this would be such a fun build series to see from you! I've seen people use the color in different ways, but based on the rules I would say that you are correct Kate :) When I built one for fun, I took inspiration from the color and also from the generation guidelines, but I wanted it to actually look good too lol so I definitely used a lot of other colors.

@@KateEmerald I'm happy the opportunity finally came. I was going to bring them to a Goodwill store but I'd never know if they would all stay together or not. I even had a bed with bedding that has 2 compartments underneath. They don't make those anymore. I still had my Barbie vet clinic items too, so that was cute. Also, a ziplock bag full of shoes/boots. Oddly, I had 1 hairbrush, lol. I've some leftover Barbie's that need some tlc before I give those away too. I'll be keeping my first Barbie, Pocahontas, and my wheelchair Barbie from Cracker Barrel. I've 3 Barbie's in a case that I want to give to a collector tho as they need tlc I can't give them because one is so delicate with the feathers and it's wings it has. I have a sleepover themed Barbie with items I'll give her when she turns 10. 😄 I had fun with them, so I'm happy to know they'll get more playtime again.
