I wonder how efficient the GN simulations approach is versus another method? I.E how much more complex in food-chain layers and life forms / episodic events could be included?
i feel like this only looks super complex because of blenders node systems. i wish there was a code-like way of using geometry nodes, the visual clutter always puts me off using it. still very cool though!

i used to build some pretty extensive stuff in SynthEdit (modular environment). managed to figure out the opengl stuff without glm or blender or unity, so i can do this stuff in C instead of p.i.t.a. :)

Wow that is insane. I don't think I would have the patience to do this in geometry nodes, I would want to switch to a programming language. I kinda want to make a simulated aquarium like this. (maybe with an ecosystem, but honestly I'm probably to lazy)
Amazing thought and execution, what things inspire you to do so..... sometimes i even imagine that is this easy to do in game engine. Anyway, blender is getting serious result in preoceduralism. Now Blender team has to think about the optimization of the process, expert level blender user has to make presets for general blender user to try it, excited artist needs to use these systems in his story telling, amateur needs to learn and practice more, hobbyist need to download more stuff and have fun, rest of the people will enjoy the show....
