Ok, I have trouble. I created an illustration in photoshop using layers. I than filled different areas with black and changed the opacity of some. Now, do I have to create new spot channels for process color 🤔? And is opacity equals value ?
If you have blacks in separate layers then you can merge the black layers into one and use them as the black separation. But, If you are gonna use process color then merge all the color layers into one and convert to CMYK channels.
You can sample the desired color using the eyedropper tool and set the sampled colors in the select option. Then, by adjusting the fuzziness slider, you can determine the amount of that color you want.
it depends on the colors in the image. Usually, the red channel can be used as a white under base. Analyze all the RGB channels and take the one that suits you well. Also, you can make a selection of the composite RGB channel and use it as a white under base.
@@learncolorseparation or i just followed the process and used color range to select the skin color. can I use that as my white base because all I want to do is to print my art on a different color tshirt. like cyan or any other. yes! you can use color range and select skin color. just make sure to remove the skin color data in the red and yellow color separations if you have those colors in the image. You cannot get white base from color range. take white base from RGB channels. I'm happy to help!
