i love all the people discovering this/or the genre for the first time, because i remember when i did too. it really takes you away but not in a demanding or forceful way. just shows you how to float away.. and ps to anyone who doesnt already know, you gotta float over to Com Truise if you in any way like this kinda thing. he will always be my king
i actually did a H.O.M.E mashup awhile back, i feel posting the link is just the mad attention seeking deal, especially considering it isnt anything special. But yeah that HOME sound is a special one. You like Jasper Byrne too? His song Miami one of my all time favorites so had to mashup that one as well lol. Another big contributor to those classic Hotline Miami soundtracks. only if youre curious, HOME mashup on my SC @ soundcloud dot com/buhrnakwon/seven-saturdays-vs-moon-dirty-hydrogen-pusher as is the Jasper Byrne one
It penetrates a time in space where your soul was loved by the universe and realizing going back never satisfy the feeling but living the present of being loved all along and only remembering it in the moment brings emotion 2 your being the apriciation 2 feel a life so fragile and finite but so surreal full of short lived moments worth carrying over 2 the evolution of finding one self in the vortex of love that we trying 2 define as our truth
I still come back here, I used to have this on repeat when I was cleaning supermarkets before opening up. It was one of the lowest points of my life, I didn't know my gf at the time was cheating on me and wouldn't know for years later. The afore mentioned job was shit and I was barely scraping by and it just all seemed so hopeless and like it would never end and yet strangely when I hear this I miss those cold mornings pushing that barely functioning floor washing machine, leaking water everywhere with this just playlist acting as my clock till the end of my shift on repeat.

This is so strange... When I was a kid, I had this desire of stay out late at night and see my house from outside, exactly like this pic. The ironic part is that the music is a nostalgia expresion of my childhood. Amazing songs and feelings!
Roy I just felt what you meant and thort back to when i was a kid too, even back then music was an exciting window for me that held unknown exotic far away lifestyles and ideals. you wanting to see your house from the outside is a brilliant line, metaphorically or not cause thats how i felt as well about the whole different world out there that i previously had no idea existed.
Ash, that's great dude!!! From a kid I was always fancinated by night and city lights. I remember looking outside my window when everyone else was sleeping. I remember also the first time that I saw my house like this. I was 19 years old and I just had bought my first motorcycle. When I arrived back home and turned the bike off, I remembered my childhood desire. It was a clear night, 2am and everything was quite, you could only hear the engine cooling down. I took the helmet and looked up... That feeling... like all the pieces were put together. Great times Ash, we are lucky to have this kind of music!!! Sorry for my long post!
Roy dont apologize for that at all. i feel we have such similar themed stories just with different narratives. Growing up in rural Australia i wasnt like anyone else in my tiny country town, and always longed for the city lights of melbourne after my first experience as a lil toddler. even before i was a teenager, my hiphop mixtapes on my walkman always painted a much more vivid picture in my head when i was listening to them on a random, maybe once yearly trip to Melbourne. I would have been 21-22 when i had my moment similar to the one you spoke of... After an absolutely amazing dj set by Ferry Corsten at a perfect Melbourne venue - ill never forget the moment after leaving the club, probably about 3:30 or 4am, and i turned back around and had a look at where we had just come from, and it honestly seemed like every one of those exotic city lights i had envisioned as a child had all come together and were illuminating the club i had just come from in a simply beautiful way. I stood there on the curb before getting in the taxi, and i could feel the city man. the smells, the faint sounds of bass in the distance and early morning trains; i had actually experienced a moment that as a child i thort was far too exotic for my reach and was just a pipe dream saved for movie story lines based in new york.. whoooaaaa shit.. Now THAT is how you ramble my friend! certainly didnt anticipate having a conversation as enjoyable as this when checking out the above mix! music ay?? ;)
Saudade: a feeling of longing for something unknown and indefinite. Dude, I was born in 1990, and still this music/visuals get all the way to my marrow like no other music. So strange a feeling.
Sorry to shatter your reality, but SEHNSUCHT is a feeling of longing for something specific. German is my mother tongue. E.g.: At the moment I got Sehnsucht to fall my parents in the arms, but I can't because of Corona and social distancing. I believe the Portuguese saudade is more suitable for your definition.
hi, i am brazilian, my mother tongue is portuguese saudade is also the feeling of longing for something specific Saudade is when you miss someone or something. it could be something you can never get back ( like someone you lost ) or as simple as something you can still do, but just haven't done in a while ( like going to a certain place ), but it is something you did experience before. Maybe "Anemoia" could work? ( but i am not sure if it even is a real word.. sorry )
This video image combined with the music are beyond words. I don't know what it is about the image, but it really captivates me. The Synthwave pulls me farther.
Your mixes are sooo good! Someone said it on another video of yours, but all of these songs are really well composed. I think it's really easy to have stuff like synthwave and vaporwave be monotonous and homogeneous, but these songs each illicit a vibe of their own and don't feel like filler songs. Awesome job!
4 years and many mixes later, this is still one of my top 5 fave chillwave/synthwave/etc mixes. It's got just the right mix of dreamy, futuristic, nostalgic, bittersweet, and haunting elements. It has enough variety to make each track stand out yet enough consistency that it feels like one cohesive piece, which makes it a real emotional journey. I'm grateful to the artists for creating the music, and to the SoulSearchAndDestroy for putting this particular mix together just so. It all came beautifully. Thank you.
My only complaint about this mix is that it's so perfect for working to that I'm distracted by how perfect it is for working to, to the extent that I have to make a comment about how perfect it is for working to. It's perfect for working to.
It wasent long after this video was published that I wouldve discovered it and Im glad I did, after a few months of looking up various videos withing the vaporwave genre, this video is the one I keep coming back to and formed the basis of what I like from this sort of music, Ive since found a few more favorite compilations from this channel. Thank you so much, Ill always come back to this mix.
"You will have to stop searching for me, because I will never stop searching for you"....the meaning behind those words is far greater then the rhythm in which inhabits the mind of those who listen.
