Thank you! I'm doing machine learning and we're right at the beginning, doing linear regressions and such, and we've gotten to the point where we're using normal equations to solve for the model parameters using matrices. I hadn't touched matrices in years really so I was really fuzzy on the mechanics. I appreciate the brush-up :)

I followed step by step and still got, -10.7 , -9.6 for 2x + 3y = 18 3x + y = 13 The answer is supposed to be 3, 4 Idk how I got mine…….

I much prefer this method for solving simultaneous equations. Will this work for all simultaneous equations? Or only for those whose inverse exists?

This method works for linear equations. ie of the form ax + by = c and yes, where the inverse exists which is when the determinant does not equal zero.
