What a treat! Many thanks for uploading this time capsule missed by many. Only the best do the classics and she certainly was one of them and the best thing is it's unexpected and a beautiful surprise. The nuances of her voice fit perfectly. From romantic to rasta, she did it all in her career and her voice belongs to the ages now. Rest in peace, Sinead/Shuhada' Sadaqat 💔❤🩹❤🔥
Wow! Love her for ever ❤❣️💔💞
Sinead didn't really need any orchestra to make an impression, but certainly a zappy orchestra gave some extra punch. A versatile vocalist. A better singer and orator than communicator, but having read about her past struggles and torments, her attitudes and behaviour were not run of the mill and not everyone's cup of tea. Be that as it may, her voice was a lovely instrument as is evidenced in this video. Thanks for sharing.
Te amarei sempre Sinéad a minha cantora favorita e a melhor. Agora a paz está em ti. Adeus Sinéad. 🙏🕊
After seeing this video I ordered the "Am I Not Your Girl" cd, but I have to say it was a disappointment. The disappointment is probably due to the producer, unless it is what Sinéad wanted. All these songs are standards that have been sung many times and what wasn't needed was proof that Sinéad O'Connor was capable of singing them like they've already been sung - her talent is undeniable. But only one of the songs on this album was sung in the unique Sinéad O'Connor style and fabulous voice, "Secret Love," when it would have been a much better album if all of the songs were done that way. If I had heard any of the other songs on this album without knowing it was a Sinéad O'Connor cd, I would never have guessed it was her and that's pretty bad with such an iconic voice. I think this album was a missed opportunity.
@@williamdevine9307 To each his own. I was really disappointed because all but one of the songs sounded nothing like Sinead. It was as though the producer told her to make a slick, Hollywood style record and don't use your own voice.
@@janetclaireSays I'm more of a jazz person than a pop fan. Been really in the mood for tom waits, diana krall, duke ellington. This record fits perfectly into my rotation right now. It really is just like a duke and ella fitsgerald record, but with more refined production and sinead's perfect voice.
