Check out the Sinbosen FP20000Q at bit.ly/FP20000Q and the MiniDSP 2x4 HD at amzn.to/3exOFC7! 🔊🔊 And sorry about the audio... New mic, had a little feedback issue.
Kyle, I've been told & read in a few articles that using pro audio sound reinforcement designed amps are discouraged due to the amp sending noise thru the speakers. Have you noticed anything like this thru your subs?
I've never had any issues with subs. I've heard others say they get some feedback with their mains with pro amps, and others have zero issues running their mains with them. I prefer to stick with powering subs with pro amps and not the other speakers
I have 8 FP clone amps in my HT and they are awesome! The oldest one is 8 years and still as good as day 1. Usually if they pass their first beating then they will run for years and years. -10db is still only 1/10th power, it can easily smoke quad 18's from most manufacturers if one isn't careful, they even push quad 24's decently (which most amplifiers can't do). For less $ you will not find a better subwoofer amp for home use. They are also flat to 2hz, unlike the FP10k. 😉
Definitely a good value. They have some pretty cool products coming out. Some with dsp, another that is as powerful as this amp, 2 ohm stable, and only 1ru 😲
After watching your first video on this I bought the FP20000Q with the new fans in January. They were super easy to work with. I got the right plug on mine but I made sure I specified which version I wanted and I asked what plug options I had. I believe I payed around $729 but the price does fluctuate. It is a beast of an amp! I had to run a 220v dedicated line to my theater to power it. It would be a big mistake to put this in the same room as your theater because it sounds like a jet engine. As a side note I do leave mine on 24/7 and didn’t see a jump in my power bill.
Nice! Yea its a power house. What are you powering? And does it get pretty hot running 24/7? Mine gets pretty warm, but its not in a large room. Definitely don't want it in the same room
@@LifeofBliss I am powering my 20 12" JBLs. This amp was the cheapest way I could figure out how to power them and still have room for expansion in the future. It gets hot but not any hotter than my AVR . I even have it sitting in the non-insulated storage area that attaches to my bonus room above the garage.
I realize this comment is very old but I would advise not running it 24/7 because your fans will die much sooner if they run constantly. I'm not sure how the fans are controlled or on a PWM circuit.
No, it's more of a cutoff once the amp starts to sense clipping is what it sounds like. You can either have a very fast hard roll off of power (hard) or a slower easier roll off (soft). Soft will still reduce the power without sounding so harsh if it happens. That was my and other users interpretation of it anyways
I see 9 12” JBL CX1200s :). As someone running 8 CS1214s (in two nearfield boxes), with 2 more DO subs coming, I’d be interested in seeing what you do with them. Perhaps a 3x3 configuration (aka Magic Square) for a 4 ohm load?
Life of Bliss thanks. So you’ve either got multiples of 4 or 9 lol.... so now I just wonder how crazy you went. I think the max I’ve seen so far was somewhere around 64 bought over a six month period lol. I’m enjoying them but still chasing down some gain structure issues and also some alignment issues based on my room size and configuration lol....
I hit the LIKE BUTTON 😂😆 cuz I love your channel. I didn't stay and watch the video only because my hearing isn't that good to worry about really specific things. Miss your little one s !!! You are so right about what they add to a video and our lives. God Bless 🙏😇🙏 Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and videos Rodney
Nice amp..... I have that same amplifier using it to play 8 18" RCF P300 subs in dual cabinets for live sound and I haven't reached pass -4 level as it sounds scary for those speakers, I've had mine just about 2 years and I love it, planning to buy another from Sinbosen (Dan), nice setup
Hi, after looking deeper on this copy, and the original, i don't see so much different, it's really insane, Distortion and Noise ratio are incredible, but it would be nice to see if someone really checked theses values by measuring
So if your avr had 2 sub outputs would you still run just one rca out into the mini dsp then chain the 3 other subs from there? What rca/xlr cables do you use? As always great video. Thank you.
Yep, 1 sub out from the avr to the mini dsp. Then that can output 4 channels with each channel having its own dsp. I use Blue Jeans Cables xlr and Monoprice rca
Did you get them and use them for PA use yet brother? I’m still on the fence because these reviews have been great, but mainly see these In home audio reviews and not too many in depth for PA use. Any help would greatly be appreciated 🤘🏼
Do you guys have a photo of the Hi-IMP light being on? I assume this should light up when you turn the amp on without anything connected. I got one of these and without speakers connected all the lights are out so I want to prove to Sinbosen that the indicator light is supposed to show when speakers aren't connected.
Hi. greetings from Argentina. It's been a year since you bought the fp20000q from simbosen. I wanted to know how it worked for you this year, because there are many comments about this brand that are damaged quickly and do not last long. sds
Hello there. I'm wondering. How do I get use of all four of the amplifier outputs seeing that the pro audio crossovers only have two outputs per segment? (2) two outputs for highs, (2) two outputs for mids, and (2) two outputs for lows. The crossover can only supply signal to two (2) of the amplifier's inputs, therefore only two (2) of the outputs can be used in that particular configuration. Thanks for your videos, and for your time and help.
Hi, I know these devices quite well. 1. yes, the technical components of the FP10000 and FP140000 are identical (except for the power supply limitation) to the original Lab Gruppen power amplifiers 2. the FP20000 is a Chinese modification and is basically two FP14000s. However, you should never use this power because the output stage channels are not large enough and the output transistors will blow up. In general, it is advisable to buy the FP10 and FP14 and to stay away from the Chinese modifications. The most reliable power amplifiers are those from Prokustk or previously Tulun Play. 3. the remote switch is intended for fixed installations if you use many power amplifiers and want to activate or deactivate them all via a network cable. This is possible with the Lake platform from Lab Gruppen, so the switch on the copies is only of a cosmetic nature. 4. personally, I used the FP clones a few years ago and switched to Powersoft. My next step will be to test the DSP power amps from CVR (these are also available from Wharfedale relabeled as the "DP" series. The DSP is almost at Powersoft level, as it displays the voltage and current going into the speaker coils in real time and also has both peak and RMS limiters.Of course, there are also FIR filters. They are also even more efficient thanks to Class D, while the Lab Group FPs as Class TD have just 60% efficiency and therefore get super hot. Best regards from germany
Do build your own cabs for the subs, if so what thickness of Baltic Pine do you use? also how long do you run those drivers in for when fitted 100 hrs or more?
Do you still have the Sinbosen amplifier? I have been in contact with them and was wondering if the price they give you is the final cost. As in there is no additional cost for customs, etc. how long did it take to receive from time of purchase? Would you buy one again if needed? Thanks.
I have 3- of their amps. 2-fp12k, DSP and 1-10k non DSP. 1- of the 12k's has a problem and its under warranty I am told but can''t get repair department to follow through on repair part . The amps are built good with exception of screws on the FANS when I had to open the case for repairs, the screws into the plastic of the fan ....did not appear to hold well..... also, you will doing the "testing" . Need to have basic understanding of multi meter and how use and basic safety of taking case off and powering up unit. Electronically I believe they are good. They crammed a lot into a small space. These are direct competition for Lab Gruppen amps I suggest .Your low monetary cost means you shoulder some the burden for repairs. You don't just put in box and ship. Lastly ... I can't find their warranty terms anywhere on their site with exception of "3- year warranty" ... I did get 2-different responses from the company when I asked around. Chatted with Alice Wang and Crystal. Please let me know if you find anything about the warranty on their site ... THANKS ! Thought I should add ... I'm not a home stereo enthusiast. I have a production Company . Our biggest named talent so far is Garth Brooks as he passed through the state years ago. I appreciate quality gear for reasonable cost.
Hey bro I’ve got a question. I’m currently building a setup in a box as follows 1X10inch sub 1X8inch sub 2XTweeters. The question I have is do I have to put in crossovers in the build??? I’m a dealer in vintage audio stock so I find it highly annoying all the time to set up different amps with speakers for demos. Thank you in advance for your advice. 🙏🏽👍🏽
Unless you are using a separate amplifier channel with active crossovers (high pass and low pass), then yes you'll need some sort of passive crossover between the amp and the speakers
ohohhoohoh those subs are BEAST..but dude you have GOT to try Kong Skull Island as your demo...that has mad sub sonic bass in many of its action scenes
It's plugged into a 230v outlet. It should be almost destroying any subs you have... check out the clone amp thread on avs forum for some guidance on settings
I believe they copied the Amp design but also have options available that lab doesn't. So it's a mixed bag since the clone amps did bring more options. The labs are of higher quality for certain applications, I can't remember what. A working clone is good enough for home usage. I also think labs test better but not 100% sure. The avs thread has all the info
Here ya go. Its in the drop down description. And in a card towards the top when I mention it. And on the end screen 😅😉 he's got good stuff over there, educational for sure ru-vid.com/show-UCwxr5jJUgORcMS9FmIaH1jQ
Have you had any channel mute issues? I had 2 of these and they went mute within 6 months. Wondering if the amps you bought are updated versions? Cant seem to find any help on this issue
is the remote not just for a 12v output that can turn on other amps that may not have a switch on it but require a 12v input to turn on as they can have continuous current supplied to them, this could make it easier to turn on more amps from one panel so you don't have to go and turn on all amps and can just connect all of them to that one 12v output on this amp and they will all power up simultaneously, imagine if you had 4-8 amps and flick one switch to turn them all on, you just have to DIY some cable to it :)
Yea i have remote turn on for my emotiva amps. If you watch the part where I open the amp up, there's nothing even connected to that switch. Its just a dummy switch. There is not a plug on the back for any sort of typical remote turn on for HT use unfortunately
how satisfied are you with the sinbosen amplifier FP20000Q and you say that china amplifier is a china manufacturer and there are two copper transformers. and whether it is certainly a good amplifier and that the money is worth 1100euro 💶💶
I’m looking at a NEMA L6-30P 30 Amp, 250 Volt, 2P, 3W, Locking Male Plug Connector, HJP-2621 Black Yellow Industrial Grade, Grounding 7500 Watts Generator (L6-30P Male Plug) for mine. My concern is that the plug that they sent mine is labeled as 16a 200V. Wouldn’t this plug allow too much voltage??
That is a mental set up, it must hurt your chest with that bass! I have been curious to know what power feed you're using for all that womp. 30A line is fine for 3 channels but will it be enough if you run the 4th?
It's efficiency is in the mid 90s per the testing. That was on a 115v version too. Idk how much the caps have to do with that sort of thing, but thats what bench tests showed
how satisfied are you with the sinbosen amplifier FP20000Q and you say that china amplifier is a china manufacturer and there are two copper transformers
That amp is amazing. As long as you have a space to put it that won't bother you in your listening area. Fans are loud. But best watts for the dollar on the market and it puts down the power! No regrets
Give Crystal a text on whatsapp, let her know Kyle from Life of Bliss sent you, might save you some money! Her number is +8616676738225. She is a sales representative for Sinbosen
On the medium shot of you with the amp in the shot, there is often a high frequency tone. I haven't watch the who video as I type this, but it's pretty loud right at 2:05. I'm listening with headphones so it quite pronounced. I haven't heard such an issue with your other videos.
The tone really started to go crazy when you put the MiniDSP on the amp. Some device you have powered on very close to you is putting out some serious RF interference to your audio. My guess would be the amp, lots of power, not a lot of shielding.
Yea sorry man... was using a new mic for this video and didn't realize it was doing this until I started editing. Tried a few things to take it out but obviously it didn't work completely. Gonna do some testing before the next video. Appreciate the heads up!
Life of Bliss what is your set up? I do video full time, broadcast and freelance. That tone was pretty high pitched too, it would be simply to remove without issue. Hit me up if you get that issue again and could take a pass at clean up.
I have two labgruppen plm10000q's. real ones has filters on intake air, this clone seems not to have filter on cold side but they are on hot side :D i would take them away cause they are just restricting air flow
Sure, it could power 8 18s. You'd have to look at the specs of your speakers though to figure out how effective it will be. Final ohm load, rms power rating, sealed vs ported... you can pretty much count on 2000w rms x 4 channels for this amp, and double that for burst power. Just depends on what your speakers require
Guess you need to buy one more 24 ink speaker so you can use all 4 channels. You maby dont need the last channel but its bether, i have 2 lab 2000 its the same wats like this one but i cant play more then to the first -25 lits and are blinking but its still to much power for what you need in a normal home haha :D
Yea I realized that once it was all shot and started editing. New mic, first time using it. Not much I could do after spending several hours recording... Going to do some trouble shooting. Thanks for lookin out 👍
Don't know if I'd trust it for professional use, its pretty cool for the value, but I doubt it is built as well as a real lab Amp.. A real lab Amp would definitely smoke the clone. But for the money, it is amazing. They are lucky lab doesn't sue them.
Honestly, I've given it a run for it's money for hours at a time on many occasions. I'm not relying on it for a paycheck though lol. Definitely impressive for the money. And I don't think they can really do much since it's coming out of China... As long as they're bringing money into the economy, the CCP don't care
They are using all chinese these wah u call fake amplifier in jamaica n they are playing nite n day with no issues even sound system in the 🇺🇸 are getting them now
8 small fans will be worse. Bigger fans is lower noise. I'd fan mod them and test with high quality pc fans. People usually have good results. They always use low quality fans that don't move much air.
Но как его запитсать от 1 розетки? Имея лишь 1 такой усилитель у вас в любом случае что-то или сгорит или выбьет автоматы, ведь потребляя больше 6кВт напряжение упадёт ниже 180в
@@LifeofBliss yes on the real ones it’s for a network switch ... I have the manual for these clones it’s funny how they still spent the time including that in the manual
Im working on a fb group for automotive and audio RU-vidrs to share your videos on fb wld be cool if you joined cos sure will get you more subs and views as it grows.
@@LifeofBliss sweet i only started it today so hopefully everyone is gonna join😊facebook.com/groups/271681363888335/ Tho we needed a place for all the sound guys to post and ppl to find them.
Yeah we discussed what plug I needed, unfortunately it didn't come that way. Even sent pictures before ordering. Is what it is, I had no issues switching it out
SINBOSEN is having problems. I know of 3- people in same group that have amplifier problems and the contacted SINBOSEN ... but then no reply back to clients with amp problems. I have several times had them reply only to stop replying and godark... where is SINBOSEN and WHY ARE THEY LEAVING CLIENTS IN THE DARK !!
That's no good.... China has some crazy stuff going on with their economy and government right now. Unfortunately we all took a risk buying from a company based in China with any sort of service or repairs
@@LifeofBliss Its not good. The world itself is having problems after being LOCKED DOWN. But SINBOSEN is dropping the ball. I hope we all get to see our equipment being repaired as we expect. TKS for the reply ....
@@tkoprojoe yea I agree, I definitely hope they can service their products. I wasn't trying to make an excuse for them, just kinda looking at the situation...
I didn't expect to be running this much power when I built it. Or using 24s lol. But... I'm not sure you can run thicker than 10 gage through these speakon connectors. 12 is tight, i have read that you can buy a 10 guage connector but nothing thicker. Idk... movies are mainly dynamic sound so not too much in the way of content sine wave bass
@@LifeofBliss Use a larger cable, but put on a solid brass or copper lug/connector that is like a 8AWG down to a 12 or 14AWG, there won't be a bottleneck in a solid piece like that and Impedance and voltage drop will be at the best minimum for the setup. Yeah man I get it you're running 24"s great! I bet the push some air,. but cant remember if yours are sealed or ported?
SINBOSEN has problems .... Really the best for all on repair of sinbosen equipment they sell and then wont service is to allow the SCHEMATICS TO BE SENT TO CLIENTS ... Then we can have a LOCALLY trusted repair man to fix these problems.
@@LifeofBliss Do a platform with them (I don't use the B term) before other bass upgrades. You'll get more bang out of those JBLs with it than you will with using them in any other configuration. Come join the TR thread on AVS and we'll show you our madness. :)
After the cops couldn’t catch me in action The epa sent a team of analysts and measured my dB lvl two houses away at 89 smacked me with a fifteen thousand dollar fine yes that’s 15000 dirty azz petrol dollars in Florida
The sinbosen is indeed a cheap chinese knock off of the original swedish Lab Gruppen amps. The Sinbosen will soon be banned from US imports with the trade wars starting.
Nope, mini dsp 2x4. I have an art clean box but the mini dsp is an amazing dsp box for subs. Used the art clean box for years with my crown xls and single 15 though
Class D (digital) amps sound krap. Stick 2 class a/b, maybe with digital power supply, but not the sound part. Behringer EP2500 sound good = or something similar. I've tried them against 'audiophile' & 'vintage classic' stuff & sound as good or better. Yes I used to work at fancy high end shops. It's funny how U spent all that $$$ & still didn't get 'slam' without tweaking the frak out of it... or do U even know what slam sounds like? Get some 18" PA style drivers & put them in big ported enclosures. Stuffing things into (relatively) tiny boxes is asking 4 'compression problems' = like those silly fartmobile 'rap cars' LOL The best sound quality is with lots of big drivers with light cones & loose suspensions & short throw, working together. Like U can go 2 a fancy nightclub with those 'servo' driven things in big horns, but sounds $hit compared 2 a simple array of generic drivers front facing. Putting things in a sealed box is basically insane = wasting all the back motion, which is where MOST of your bass would come from (through the flared port(s) of course! =)
