This explains so much, I started using Cif in China when I was teaching and now that I’m back in the states I can’t find it annyyywhhhere but it’s just cuz it’s vim, bless you for teaching this lol
I didn’t realize how little I knew about cleaning or how much there was to know until your videos started popping up in my feed, I’m a terrible housekeeper but starting to make progress finally by working smarter not harder, thank you ❤
I am professional cleaner and one of my MUST HAVE. Item is the Vimn cream with bleach(Green Bottle). Also great on stainless steel, glass and ceramic top stoves, tubs and sinks. The smell doesn't bother even my fussiest client. Love it !
I'm in TX. Theres a Scrub Daddy CIF creme and a CIF creme w/o the Scrub Daddy name on the bottle. I searched up and down and couldn't find any reviews about comparisons between the two so I had to buy both and theres a definite price difference with the Scrub Daddy version being more expensive. The other difference was that the Scrub Daddy version felt more "gritty" that cleaned a bit better. Does anyone remember "Soft Scrub"?These type of cleaners kind of remind me of that. Anywho, thanks for this vid. Very helpful.
Soft scrub gel is amazing! It gets all the grime, mildew or whatever off with ease and rinses off so easily! Soft Scrub cleanser works but much harder to rinse. Not many stores sell the gel so when I find a source I buy a lot!
Still use soft scrub powder here in Florida! But I use it With my scrub daddy or scrub mommy. Some cleaners are classics , but I love using my scrub daddy on the old school cleaners because the cleaners were best in the older times, but the sponges are best in the new times. Ya know lol
How do I support your work on RU-vid? You make such a huge difference in the lives of those that so desperately need it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! 💜
@@kazwhitewas gonna say that. I've never seen or heard of Vim before. I've only seen Cif, pink stuff cream cleaner or just own shop brand cream cleaner.
I do not know where you are from. I love your content. I love what you do. I am willing to pay everything to get you to Iowa, and I will pay you for everything. My Dad grew up in the household that does not address mental health. His house is hoarded so bad. Where is Len when I have seen on hoarders. No cockroaches or bed bugs. Just so much stuff. A pathway to everywhere. Lay in that bed. Please. Help! I will pay any amount. I’ll do anything He’s such a nice guy and does everything else for everyone. We need help. Please! ❤
People are so lucky for you… I’m going through it just lost someone precious to me and my room is a hot mess. I feel completely unmotivated and overwhelmed.
You have just saved me and my husband 100s of Dollars 😂. Our smoker has been nasty the last year or so and no matter what we used it never cleaned deep. Yay!
It has changed names throughout my 34 years of life. I remember mom using Vim when I was a kid, and then it became Cif and occasionally Jif as well, but not permanently.
It's called JIF in Australia & it's great for getting grease stains out of clothing. Just a little JIF on the stain, wait 30 mins & put it in the wash as normal.
Did you know that the cleaning product Cif used to be called Jif in the UK? Unilever changed the name back in the 90's. Vim was also owned by unilever until they discontinued it in the 90's. A dry powder version is also available and is called ajax powder
Hi, United Kingdom here! We have always had VIm from way back in the 1960s or '70s. Although I personally don't use it, it is a very commonly used cleaning product and I highly recommend it.
I used to use jiff to get blood and engine grease stains out of the outdoor/boat/marine carpet my nana had through her entire house including kitchen and bathroom. My grandy was a farmer who could be clumsy and often managed to gut himself on something or other, and with at least a couple of their sons joining them for smoko lunch and afternoon smoko every day as well, there was always plenty of little grease strains and mud/clay stains on the carpet from working on the farm all day. She taught me how to use a ‘green scratchier’ (Brillo pad) on the patched after the jiff had had time to soak into the carpet in small little circles. I used to do that every Sunday growing up, took a good half hour at least, sometimes more every time. She also taught me to do the same to clean their bog old green enamel cast iron bathtub to get rid of the build up on the water line. I learnt a lot les about farming than all my male cousins did (same as my mum, with her 5 brothers), but she taught me how to be a damn good house wife, now I just need the motivation to actually live up to my potential at it haha, this woman vacuumed her entire house at least once a day, twice if it was windy and blowing top soil in through the open windows (no AC) hot tropical Australian summer.
i love cif, there’s a lot of white furniture in flat i’m renting and i do attend art uni so sometimes it gets really messy and i don’t think there was ever a stain that cif couldn’t handle
In Norway it is JIf, and I use JIf for everything. Or water, just water is amazing for last wipe. Or just normal dusting, due to it not leaving recidue. You do not need sope 60% of the time. So if it is not greasy, or other hard shit, just use water. Extra important for glass and surfaces that wil have food directly on it.
I love this product, I grew up buying it by the name of jif then when I grew older it changed to cif, but now I live somewhere that I can't find it anywhere in any supermarket
Where I’m from Jif use to come in a different bottle and was thicker, everything would wipe away with little effort. Now it come in the same bottles as these products in the video and I find it runnier and needs more elbow grease.
Here in Sweden we only hade VIM. But now You can by CIF in some shop,s. I think A use the VIM becurse A Always have. It,s THE same Good stuff. Love from Sweden
Cif/vim is jiff in Australia, and its about the only thing better than gumption without flooding your house with fumes from oven cleaner in my experience
WHOA WAIT!!! that happy face is called a "SCRUB DADDY?" NO WAY LOL I am Googling that and ordering it all lol Thank you for sharing your video. I was curious if VIM is capable of doing dishes, and I found my answer. However, I stumbled upon your video about cleaning a smoker, which is perfect timing as I have a friend who was seeking an alternative to using a prayer to Jesus to clean her smoker. Thank you! UPDATE: OOOOOOOOOOOO GURL!!!! SCRUB DADDY is a WHOLE LINE!!!! Praise the lord, Wont he do it! Thanks again! Sorry TLC "I DO WANT A scrub, scrub daddy gonna clean that grime for me.."
She did a video debunking a few Tik-Tok hacks. One of them was using pink stuff on glass. It has grit in it and it will actually scuff your Glass. I can attest to this as it scuffed my brand-new glass stove top. It was a week old. I used pink stuff on it to try to get some burnt food off and the whole area is scuffed.
The door is good but remember that smokers are meant to be seasoned. We have smokers that have never been cleaned. We smoke everything in Alaska. Make sure no film remains on the door. Tfs, great work.
Does this also work on air fryer racks? Some of the leftover grease and grime won't come off as much as I clean. Tried bar keepers Friend, easy off, soaking it for at least an hour before washing still wouldn't come off.
I don't know about air fryer racks, but with oven racks I used an ammonia based de-greaser and a scour daddy and it worked to remove all the polymerized oil and fat.
What are you using to scrub? Chemically you are using the right products but at some point, a mechanical cleaning is needed. Soak your rack in hot water for a while, then put it in a garbage bag after covering it with easy off . Then get a Brillo pad or #0000 steel wool. It should be fine. Vim/cif is no magic cleaner. In the video she's cleaning smoke and grease. Not charred food. It's a different need/solution.
When I moved into my apartment the oven was in horrible shape. I bought a can of Easy Off Fume Free and sprayed everything down. The racks were a little harder to get clean than the oven itself. So, what I done was sprayed the racks again and put them in a trash bag and left them to soak overnight. The next day I cleaned them with an S.O.S pad and Dawn Powerwash. All the gunk and grime just melted right off. Hope this helps.
