That’s sad. smoking, be it in open or in a hide, is considered modern and a thing to look upon condescendingly at ones own parents who prohibits that, which is dead true that they wud have done the same thing had she been a boy. But then there r these kinds. I am an admirer yet the logic behind the obsession of copying the west and thinking of being modern, that too on the topic of intoxication which in its name is bad innately, is bizarre and incomprehensible. It’s the care of the parent when they prohibit one to do something they have experienced in their life to be bad. We shud not pack it into a generic term ‘taboo’ for everything we do.
I'm from the middle of Europe. My mother tried to stop me from smoking too, till I was in my mid twenties. Since then we share cigarettes if one of us is out 😅
