Laxmi is married to Professor Vijay Choudhury but her husband suspects her of being unfaithful. She leaves him and on the way to her friends house she saves a young girl from being run down by a speeding vehicle. On coming to her senses she finds out that the young girl Lalita is her friends daughter. Prem Kapoor her father soon dies at the hands of his brother Shera and asks Laxmi to take care of her. She promises to bring her upn as her own daughter. Will Lalita find out that Laxmi is not her mother?
