Heyy this was a request by Ray Glover ( / @_.ramazan._ ) Working on a bigger project, but ill still be uploading in the meantime! Hope you guys enjoy this one!! :D
alright so I didn't think I'd have to specify this but clearly I do, I DO NOT HATE MEENA. I have no specific opinions for or against her. I just thought it was funny. I also wanted to be able to use the #meenaslander tag on the tiktok ad for this video because it was a popular tag at the time and would get me more veiws. and it worked for the people saying I can't make fun of her because she has anxiety, I have been DIAGNOSED with extreme anxiety, and I will continue to make these jokes
Just because you suffer from anxiety yourself doesn't mean that someone else won't be hurt by your words. You literally wrote "I hate that stupid fucking elephant", so your: "I didn't think I needed to specify that" sounds ridiculous. The compilation would be much better without that ugly comment from you.
yes u did need to specify by the fact u swore also there will be some kids who click on this vid not to discover swearing like my 5 yr old cuz for example thats the type of thing would happen
@@Jfjfhchsbshddh if you're worried about that you should monitor heavily what your child is watching online, there's much worse even on youtube kids, like the Spiderman Elsa videos. I apologize that I didn't consider children stumbling across my videos, however if you are worried about your child being exposed to vulgar language they should probably not be allowed to explore the internet on their own accord. not to assume anything about your parenting- just putting it out there. I mean, what do I know about parenting? I'm in highschool. so take whatever I say with a grain of salt
@@tiffcat3887 I'm so glad!!! I know watching videos like this always made me super happy, so I wanted to do the same for others. Especially because sing has such little extra content out there :((
@@k4den271 Yeah, it's sad that the movies are so underrated and I don't get why people call the first one terrible, its wasn't the best but it wasn't bad either. Luckily the second one seems to be getting a bit more recognition so who knows
Is it just me, or did Johnny have so much more weight to pull than the others? Sure, some of the others are made to do more than simply sing in their performances as well, but Johnny had to learn Piano, Break dancing, and Choreographed dance fighting from absolute zero to a professional level in an *_insanely_* short window of time.
I don’t understand why people hate Meena. I have anxiety and recognized myself a lot in her. Plus she’s so sweet and innocent, she doesn’t deserved all the hate she got
I didn’t even realize people didn’t like her. Like, I thought some people didn’t like her just because she’s voiced by a Christian singer. But I didn’t realize people disliked her for her character. Like dang. That’s sad. There’s a reason people like this are like this. It’s because of people who do exactly what those people do to Meena. Kind of stupid to want improvement when your bashing someone down more.
@1:13 there's actually kinda a sweet story from this song. The producer or director of the movie (or someone) learned that the original singer of this song was in debt. So he put this song in the movie so the singer would be paid royalties and make ends meet.
I don't get how a small group of animals singing a song with a space background was better than a giant flock of different colored flamingos, rollerskating with some epic moves and fun party music, like wth
You’re not crazy. Relatable characters are how you hook the audience. If a character is extraordinary or extremely gifted right at the start then not only is there no reasonable way to progress their story (if they’re already perfect where do you go with them) but they also lose their relatability because most people are aware of their flaws and like seeing characters who overcome them. Characters who start of as ordinary usually have problems that they will be forced to overcome, and people relate to their struggles and like them for their determination. It gives people hope to see ordinary like people overcoming big obstacles.
But also like, Meena’s problems were…. Boring? Johnny was dealing with parental pressure and expectations that didn’t support who he wanted to be, but also got a story with crime and action scenes. Rosita was an overworked parent, but pumped to the extreme with 20 something kids. Ash’s wasn’t as exaggerated, but she was dealing with a narcissistic partner and sexism. Relatable problems, exaggerated to make entertaining. Meena was just shy. Like, obviously that’s not as interesting as the others.
im sorry but ur wrong... the wolf wanted something that wasnt like every other typical story. "an ordinary school girl..." no. id be disinterested too. he was right, meenas story is like every other cliche and its 100% understandable to want something different for once.
@@kevinong9471 being an introvert is not a boring problem as much as trying to get a theater is. Going from introvert to extrovert takes courage and is a real struggle for most of us. Getting a theater is like saving up for a playstation 5 and isn't as...exciting tbh.
You're very right. That's why most stories reserve the 'perfect' characters for an antagonistic role. Heck, even Porsha started off as a semi-antagonist, being immediately gifted at singing and acrobatics, and using her father's pull with the show to get her way, ultimately leading to Rosita losing the lead. But even then, she was given flaws by being shown to have no acting talent, as well as being overemotional and spoiled. There really is no easy way to start a story with a 'perfect' character.
There have been many theories of what happened to Mike after the first Sing film. One half says he's still alive while other says he died after a bear attack. My personal theory? He and Nancy (his girlfriend) managed to escape the Russian bears, but they had to move to another place where the bears won't be able to find them.
i think he died because at the end of sing mike is driving away and a bear is still on the car. probably illumination’s way of getting rid of him since no one wanted him in the sequel.
My theory is that he's alive, but didn't care to stick around doing Buster's shows. He was only ever interested in the prize money, after all. Even in the end, the only reason he went back to the theater to do his act was because he was challenged. I can't picture him being happy to continue doing musical theater with the rest of the characters, especially given his obnoxious attitude towards them.
@@k4den271 yea! I saw that the song nooshy was dancing to(the cardi b one) had the b word in it, cut out obvi, but THERE WERE SO MANY SONGS THAT HONESTLY SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THERE!! I loved the movie and all, but those songs are not very well placed, it’s a family movie, they should have at least used the clean versions.
@@SuckyArtByRoxy I think they picked songs that went super well with the scenes, just not for kids. I mean let's be honest it's not like kids aren't listening to songs much worse nowadays but still, it was a shock
@@k4den271 yea tru tru. I think that If it was a PG13 movie there’d be things flying everywhere, I can just hear Porsha “YOU AND UR STUPID STUPID SKYFI SHOW CAN GO TO HELL” or nooshy cussing every five minutes, and yea people are listening to way worse nowadays anyhow.
To be fair, even children movies have dirty scenes and adult humor because it's made BY adults, even if it's a family movie. I loved all the songs and this songs aren't really inappropriate, at least, not that sense. There are some that are "stronger" for small children, but most people of my generation, would grow up listening to songs that were literally BOPS and it turns out the songs were about drugs, s*x, etc. It's nothing new and shouldn't be like, seen as something horrible. I do say there's a specific time and place that kids should be listen to them later on, but I personally loved the music selection for the second movie
I actually like Meena, I feel like she shows just the more innocent, shy side of people, also her crush on the ice cream guy in Sing 2 is just adorable. Also just looking at her, and also the scene where she starts to fade and her heart is pounding I would say she most definitely has anxiety.
Was that a debate? A fucking kids movie and shes playing shy to be picked. Yah, what a plot. How can one fucking character have this much hate god what is wrong with all of you, fucking pyschos.
I think she's just okay. Her arc is much more enjoyable in the second film but she's never really stood out to me. However her and busters interactions are always really sweet and I will die on that hill (not shipping in any way, that would be gross)
@@k4den271 so she doesn't stand out, so lets get that fat bitch off the stage is all I get from you. Calm the fuck down princess, your edits aren't funny either in case you actually thought they were.
@@k4den271 SERIOUSLY But Thats Probably Why He's Not In It Yknow I Guess They Felt Like Spreading Some Rounds Of Trauma To Everyone But With The Mouse It Would Be Way Harder
@K4den I understand that you didn’t mean to hate on Meena but that’s a little offensive to use swear words. The fact at first you said you hated Meena and you called her clumsy and the a word. Please know I’m not trying to be disrespectful or offensive.
Mina shows a lot of signs of social anxiety. She’s not a pick me she struggles. I was diagnosed with social anxiety myself so I relate to her in so many levels. It’s not easy and it’s not a choice
Meena is the perfect example of why I avoid people Cause people hated her so much that it was so stupid anxiety is a real life problem And yet people refuse to accept it exist and help them Oh but when they suicide .. yeah let’s stop
No one hated her for her anxiety. They hated her because it was unrealistic anxiety. Like who tf with anxiety sings happy Birthday like that? Who in GENERAL sings happy birthday like that?
as a person who has anxiety, it's not that srs? While I don't get the Meena hate she's not a real person and is just a character that people make fun off because its funny. No one is making fun off actual ppl with anxiety.
@@nyanfox4754 Unless it’s specifically said they have anxiety, you’d be surprised by the amount of people made fun of for having it whether if it’s shown in cartoon media or irl, it happens.
read pinned comment!!! it's all for jokes, I recognize stage fright as a real issue because I have it aswell. to be completely honest I just did it to use the meena slander tag in tiktolk because it was popular at the time
I could've, but at that point the lyrics were saying anything terrible so I let it slide BEHSBSB Most of the songs I included were innapropriate when they were playing in the movie if you know what I mean
Okay, lore about the frogs: back in the 80's and 90's, there was a group called the Crystal Light dancers who were a singing/dancing troupe that dominated the airwaves and pretty much introduced "pop" to music genres, and since they were based on a popular act, only adults who knew about the CLD would know that he picked them based on who they were imitating.
I don't know what is bad in meena she just has anxiety btw she put her ears over her through most of the movie it's what makes her special and unique . I like her acting it's 😃👍
@@ChokeDeezNutz I think some people have called her a show-off but I'm pretty sure there's a difference between showing off and just being really, really passionate.
@@ChokeDeezNutz I don't hate her but here's a list of why people do 1. She is considered a pick me because of how she acts shy that people heard her sing when shes very obviously out in the open (I.e the scene with her grandpa and the scene where she is on top of the building) 2. She over sang the birthday song 3. She isn't a special or explorative character, which makes her easy to pick on 4. She's kind of dramatic 5. She's clumsy I could probably come up with more if you're interested
3:32, wow, what a way to sound like a jerk when that character has stage fright. How’d you feel if people were mean to you because you had stage fright
hey man, it's a fictional elephant in an animated kids movie. I don't treat real people this way obviously, I mostly just did it so I could use the meena slander tag on tiktok and get more veiws, therefore more channel promotion.
I too was sad for the vulture group. I know this was animation but the vultures did a great job. I think this is what Sing 2 missed. A competitor for the group. They should have another group competing with the lead group as they try to get the recluse singer.
Busterrmoonn, If editing “Sing” isn’t all you do, then I hope you won’t mind if us viewers started requesting compilations of a certain character or characters) from any tv show or movie, if that’s okay with you. 👌😉 Also, I’m beginning to think that you may need an intro and out to to your videos from now on! 😁👍
@@k4den271, have you considered making some “YTP” videos, or is it just me? I mean you can try, but as long as you have both a Copyright-free into and outro, just to make sure you don’t get strikes by RU-vid.
@@_.Ramazan._ I considered it but I am quite comfortable with what I'm posting now to switch it up. Maybe in the future tho! And also I'm not really sure what I'd do intro and outro wise
Hey, I've been enjoying these videos you've composed. They all somehow pop up on multiple devices I use throughout the week NOT linked to my account... and am happy for that. It's a great way to recap on all the fun parts of the flicks. The Flamingos' performance was hypnotic. The whole second movie was so great but I wonder how a third movie would be as the studio went all out and set the bar _very_ high. The only nitpick I have is how Gunter made it through auditions. Make no mistake, his enthusiasm is off the charts, has good movement, but his singing voice... eh...
i think what the writers were trying to do for Meena was to have an identifiable character. someone who gets stage fright and has anxiety when singing. i’m not trying to excuse her but i’m just trying to understand Meena better
at 5 minutes and 15 she just burst in with a paragraph i never really thought about! and i watched this movie countless times lol. also BIG FAN OF UR VIDS!!
Why is she important-?? Bc she's the main character that can't sing unfront of a crowd but then overcomes her fear. She's important bc it teaches everyone that it is possible to overcome your fear. And you know what... She taught me that I can sing infront of a crowd and now I've won so many solos that made my parent proud.
