In 1944 Dooley appeared in the stage production of "Bloomer Girl" on Broadway and the first song here "The Eagle And Me" was Dooley Wilson's one solo song in the show. "As Time Goes By" from the 1942 film "Casablanca" was later rerecorded and released on a single (78 rpm) . This is closer to that version. Screechy kids and sing alongs are not great but popular at the time and helped to maintain morale.
