Opened in 2012, Gardens by the Bay is one of Singapore's must-see tourist attractions for nature lovers and anyone with the slightest taste for gardens, plants and flowers. The Gardens by the Bay is a large botanical garden that combines landscaping with modernity and impresses anyone who visits it.
From here you can see the Marina Bay Sands Hotel. This is an icon of Singapore's city skyline which has a huge rooftop pool with amazing views of Singapore.
Exploring the Gardens by the Bay is free! However, some highlights like the Flower Dome and skywalk require tickets. But if you are short on time like us, the free walk will be more than enough. So what is the concept of Gardens by the Bay? This brings to life the vision of creating a City in a Garden. The Gardens captures the essence of Singapore as the premier tropical Garden City with the perfect environment in which to live and work. So after our first stop we decided to go downtown.
The streets of Singapore are very colorful, something typical of Asia that gives a lot of life. There are many people and many open places, which makes it very exciting to go for a walk. Also, the cleanliness of this city is undoubtedly something very pleasant.
So, we are in Little India now, and this area is known for its beautiful Hindu temples and shops with traditional Indian clothing, jewelry, and spices.
It is very interesting to see the mix of architecture and cultures in this small country.
Singapore is situated near the equator and has a typically tropical climate, with abundant rainfall, high and uniform temperatures, and high humidity all year round.
It is said that the wet season in Singapore is from September to February, so rain is normal at the time we were there. The rain comes without warning and is very abundant. Although with the high temperatures in Singapore, rain is honestly not a problem.
It was time to eat and as a vegetarian this was a big challenge. We had to change 3 restaurants because there were practically no options for me. Still, I finally got to eat and it was all delicious!
