I think the pickle is Singaporean nonya achar (there are different variations like Indian, Nepalese, Burmese etc). You can find the recipe online and try to make it. Pretty easy and delicious.

Whenever you’re faced with Indian food and pickled vegetables, always combine. A lot of Indian rice is served with mango pickle (rind or soft pickled mango) and adds a really fun vinegar-y kick! I usually buy the unripened whole green pickled mangos for cooking at home

Thanks for uploading and showing us all the great meals ... even when you miss dessert o.O who skips the sweet stuff. so this morning was the second time watching foreign food videos saved me from being a hungry zombie. I got to work at 6:40 am or so, and my co worker who opens up was not there yet. I had a bowl of grits I made from home, a raw egg i intended on frying at work, and two hotdogs (a meat i must be either desperate or craving to eat) so no one is there, and no one has to really be to work until 7:30. I could not wait because 30 mins is not enough time for me to eat and set up the classroom to recieve the children. What do I do? I did it like Japan! :-} I threw the raw egg into the grits and mixed well. It.... was.... delicious! I now understand what others mean when they describe the combination of raw egg in cooked rice as creamy. It was really REALLY good. The lady came to open up so even though I was already enjoying my meal I boiled the hot dogs because I'm a moderate eatter. The hot dogs ruined the whole thing. What I ate, was only consumed because I don't waste edible food.

Singapore looks like such a nice place to visit. It's not a place most people think of when planning a vacation but after seeing all these nice restaurants, places to visit and hospitality it's obviously a hidden gem for a getaway

The pickle you had with the Chicken Briyani is called acar timun tumis, a pickle of sorts that involves sautee-ing ginger, onions, garlic, and some curry powder for the added spice and kick :)

I am left wondering if the dessert that came with the salmon was any good lol! P.S. The beef dinner should have came with a dessrt. All dinners should include dessert :)
