We have created a special chicken rice paste and drizzle based off our popular chicken rice cooker recipe. This makes it even easier to replicate our original chicken rice cooker dish.
Start by marinating 300g boneless chicken thigh or leg fillet with skin with 1 tbsp of the Singapore chicken rice paste. Set aside for 30 minutes.
Add 1 tbsp of paste to 220ml water and 1/2 tsp salt. Add and rinse 1 rice cup of rice for 2 persons to rice cooker.
Add marinated chicken followed by rice water. Set rice cooker to cook at normal mode and cook until finish, around 45 minutes on average.
Remove chicken fillet and cut into slices. Give rice a good stir and serve on a plate with chicken on top.
Drizzle 1 to 2 tsp of the Singapore chicken rice drizzle sauce and it’s done! So easy and simple.
