I don't know how to say thank you to you in any other ways, but thanks god to let you exist in this world especially in Singapore. You don't know how much you've saved my mentality break down from not being able to get back to SG for a year. I really appreciate every single VDO you've made. keep doing bro, I'm supporting you.
im from malaysia and I've went there for like 7 years ago, my grannies and aunties live there and your vids kinda recall my memories 🥺😭 i miss singapore sm
@@adel-cp7mx Ah nice! Lakeside and Taman Jurong area? Been awhile since I last been in those areas. Used to hang out there often in my secondary school days. Soo long ago 🤣
Thanks for your videos of Singapore. Me and my family are watching your tours almost everyday before we go to bed. Thanks and keep them rolling:) Best regards from Sweden
@@DiscoveryWalkingToursTV sorry did not see that you answered! we live in Småland. your walking tours have given us a lot actually, we have plans to move to singapore so your movies are gold 😊. Sincerely christian
@@crillesamuelsson2906 I went to google Småland and was surprised to see it soo far north. It must be really cold over there. Hope you like hot and humid weather. You will get alot of it plus sun in Singapore 😂
@@DiscoveryWalkingToursTV haha yes here it is cold in the evenings and mornings, we still have to scrape the car window from ice. yes we have read and seen that it is humid and hot in Singapore, but we like heat so it should be interesting and nice 😁
@@crillesamuelsson2906 Glad to know that you are all ready for hot and sunny 😊 The coldest I been to is minus 30 degrees with winds. It was a complete nightmare for me 😂 Told myself to never go to such cold temperatures ever again
I'm enjoying your videos very much! Thank you for taking the time to make them; it is also extremely helpful that you put the locations on the timeline as there are some places that don't look familiar. It makes it easier to visit on my next trip :)
Glad you like them Jennifer😊 And thanks for the feedback regarding the timestamps. Good to know they are of use in your planning. Where are you from? 😊
@@DiscoveryWalkingToursTV I am living in California but was born in Singapore so I have a bunch of family there. So I try and go back when I can to see them. Your videos make me miss it so much! It's especially nice to be able to walk through some of the local neighborhoods that I am not as familiar with :)
Happy to know the neighbourhoods are of interest to you ☺️ it's not a global "hit" but I do enjoy walking and mapping out the various parts of Singapore so I will keep doing them. Are there any neighbourhoods that you might be curious to know more about?
@@DiscoveryWalkingToursTV Yes, the neighborhoods give a good local feel that most tourists don't get since time is limited and they tend to stay in the more central areas close to attractions. For other neighborhoods, I think anything along the northern perimeter of Singapore would be interesting since I rarely go to those areas, but you have so many videos that maybe you've done them already :) Some of the islands would be nice as well if you ever take trips there - I wanted to go to Kusu Island, St. John, and Palau Ubin when I was there last but ran out of time. Would be interesting to see what those areas are like if you haven't already done a video on them.
@@jelimok Thanks for the suggestion of the north perimeter of Singapore. Will see if I can visit some of the older estates. I personally haven't been to Kusu or St John island. Even I wonder if there is anything over there 😂 As for Pulau Ubin I did film it in May 2019 during the pre-covid days. Feels like a lifetime ago. Here is the video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kK4NYj9OVgE.html Perhaps I should go back and pay it a visit. Been awhile since I was last there. Regarding live streaming, it did occur to me before, unfortunately it only available in 1080p and I probably would have to use my handphone for it. Basically it will be a whole different setup compared to what I am using now. So for the time being I will have to say no to it. Perhaps one day when I strike lottery and can afford a new handphone and data plan 😂
Remembering my last visit in Oct 2019, little did I know that in 5 months time everything changed. Lucky for me I managed to enjoy sunrise at Marina Bay on that particular trip. Such a wonderful city, I missed it dearly.
Great video, great time of day, great city...whether to calm the mind or explore on the treadmill...please make more in and around Singapore the Jewel of the East
Used to live in Phuket for 15y and always flew in and out of Changi instead of BKK. Still have my MRT card and so many familiar places in your videos. Singapore is like an Oasis of Sanity amidst the chaos around it. Not a place for me to live in though, tend to get bored after a few days but definitely worth visiting over and over again. Must have been there at least 50x. Best part of Singapore? Friendly people genuinely always trying to do things better, to improve. Worst part? Freedom of the press. Bonus note? Friendliest immigration staff you can find, judging by 100+ countries visited.
@@scifiworldnebular The Bavaria region? The most south part that I have been to was Munich. Beautiful city. Wished I had my camera at that time, would have loved to filmed all the sights the city had to offer
Thank you soooooo much for putting up great quality walking contents! I've never seen this side of Singapore and I'm going to put this as my next trip waking up at sunrise to go sightseeing! Much appreciated!!
God knows how I've missed this city so much. Thanks to virtual tours like this, I can still see Singapore despite the pandemic ^^. I still wonder how you did it, the video was not shaky at all even when you went through bumpy road. Great job, and please make more vids like this! ❤️
@@BlueWithoutBiu Thanks Zhan Zhan 😄 Will continue to record much of Singapore as possible. Any special request for certain locations? I will try if its possible
@@DiscoveryWalkingToursTV Thank you! Jurong East area? Pasir Ris? Maybe nothing much to see but it's still kinda nostalgic. But I saw that you've covered Jurong area. Perhaps Sentosa Island? 🥰 #staysafestayhealthy
_Lovely evening ride.Excellent video Alan. with a perfect backdrop of the city skyline. Vey beautiful indeed.Btw, good to see you back on the bike again and in good health.Take care always my EZ Rider_ 👍
This place is meant for tourist. That is why very quiet. If it is Sunday worse because next day most of us have to go to work. It is the system we are in. Maybe when there is more retired elderly this place will be lively. Very little footwork means business will affected badly
@@DiscoveryWalkingToursTV yes it is Indian shiv mantra. Best for morning energy. It’s always give you positivity.. btw missing Singapore so much.. last visited may 2019. And will surely back once pandemic ends.
Thank you very much. Now we know where to walk to get great views here. We are visiting lovely Singapore! By the way, where did you start exactly in this vlig? Name of the street or spot please. Tganks.
Just a normal city bicycle. Nothing fancy. It costs me S$140 and even has a basket in front for me to put my bag while cycling😂 I encourage you to give it a try 😊
This is so nostalgic! Singapore is easily my family’s favourite travel destination and we always have to come by when we are in Asia. Our last trip was in 2019 and of course there hasn’t been a chance to go since. My parents and I watch your tours to relive those places and discovering and taking notes of where we want to go next when it is safe to come! My dad has a question for you! Was this filmed on a special holiday or something? Throughout the video we found it very surprising that there could be that few people there, but then again it is also during a pandemic! We really enjoy your videos and are very grateful that you are making them! (Ps. We’re are currently making our way through the Singapore Attractions playlist 😁).
It's nice to hear from you Beulah and I'm glad the videos are of value to you and your family 😊 I think it seems empty because its an early morning weekday in Singapore. This part of Singapore will be busier on weekends or at evenings. That said in mid March we have school holidays so some of the videos uploaded in mid March will reflect that (increase in human traffic)
They are either practising Qigong or Taichi exercises. There is a distinct difference between the two but to a layman (myself) I'm not experienced enough to tell the difference
There is a bicycle rental shop at the Singapore Flyer which is very near the Merlion Park. It opens only at 9am though. You can check it out: www.singaporeflyer.com/en/dine-shop-play/gocycling
@@DiscoveryWalkingToursTV cool! Could you mention these specific accessories? I'm thinking of recording my cycling trips too for my personal album. Thanks!
@@fattyflip4168 Appreciate you checking in with my equipment specifics but hope you understand if I don't reveal. It's a trade secret that took a lot of time and effort to figure it out. I will suggest looking into the Gopro helmet accessories + the osmo pocket accessories, mix and match them and attach to your helmet.
Beautiful. But I wonder why Singapore has not introduced new gen trams running on green energy instead of gas guzzling and polluting buses?? Time for a change...
We are in the midst of converting all of our public buses to fully electric by 2040. They cost twice a conventional diesel bus so they need to change it at an even pace. Hi, new to your channel, love it. Im hoping to visit Singapore in November. Could you please tell me what time in the morning you started this. Thank you
Haha. Nothing more local and Singaporean than a hawker centre. I hope you have a pleasant stay in Singapore this coming November. By the way, where are you from? 😊
Hope things would stablise by then. Noticed UK vaccination rates are high perhaps our countries can have green travel bubble arrangements once we got the virus under control
Thanks for the suggestion Sweetiee. I am afraid I am going to skip those locations for the time being as they are not along my usual cycling route. I have filmed our neighbourhood town centres, eg Clementi, Jurong, Boon Lay, Bedok etc. From time to time if my travels take me to a town centre I can film those areas.
Thanks for the suggestion. I did consider it before but decided against it due to the reflection from the glass panel. In any case, there are channels which are focused on bus journeys 🚍😊 I think they are doing a good job recording those moments
Currently it's not easy to come into Singapore. Quarantine for 2 weeks at a designated facility is required. Cost to be borne by the visitor. Likely it will still be implemented even after May this year. 2nd half of the year restrictions may lessen for certain countries provided they have vaccination jabs in their country etc.
