Today we head to Chinatown in Singapore to two hawker centres, Amoy Street Food Centre and Chinatown Complex to try Michelin Bib Gourmand hawker stands. Michelin Bib Gourmand is a distinction, a honor that highlights restaurants that serve high-quality food at reasonable prices. We also tried one hawker stand that got a Michelin Star in Singapore!
Amoy Street Food Centre is more of a hawker centre for locals working around the area but they have SO many gems!

Chinatown Complex Food Centre is in the heart of Chinatown and serves some incredibly yummy Singaporean eats. Honestly you cannot go wrong with any of the hawker food in Singapore. Seriously the BEST!

CupofTJ I live in Singapore can I can tell you how many times I’ve seen it first hand so many times people do that when there is something not common here. Normally is because their uncomfortable about being filmed but they have not finished their food so they have no choice

I was AMAZED at the incredible and very reasonable, to down right cheap food in the Hawker stalls in Singapore! I'm not sure there's any bad Hawker stalls or wet markets with food stalls... My wife took me to so many there and there's SOOOOOOO much amazing food at any price level there. She lived and worked there for around 5 years and is a bit of a tight ass so she knew all the awesome cheap places to eat...haha I'm no food expert, just a fat small town guy who likes food and I was a very happy guy there! haha I REEEEEEALLY miss the food! So many amazing noodle dishes and a world of different rices also. I loved all the different noodle textures and styles/flavors of rice also. I'm a TOTAL texture person and love love love all the noodle choices there. Same with rice also. In small town midwest it's lomein/chow mein, steamed/fried or brown rice, that's about it...haha I had a kind of lite delicate rice with just a very very small hint of lemon or lime and something else with roasted pork in a wet market in Gallop Villas that blew me away! And most favorite of all, the endless different chili sauces!!!! I could go on for DAYS about them...😍😍😍😂 The noodle dish looked amazing as well as the chicken and rice dish. Good thing I sweat my ass off there or I may gave gained a ton of weight there! 😂 Going from the dead of winter here to the insane humidity there kicked my but the first few days... Have fun, safe travels, and have some noodles for me! 🍲🍲🍲👍✌

I was more concerned with the guy fiddling with his pants walking around. 10:38 - 10:54. I know Miss TJ was filming near the bathrooms, but Bruh...😓 Aside from the creepers though, all of the food looked nom-worthy to me. Thanks, Miss TJ. 🙌

I'm Singaporean and you're totally right: Amoy Street Hawker Centre is a total legend, and where CBD office-workers frequent the most. Two other hawker centres worth visiting: Maxwell (just behind Amoy and has stellar chicken rice), and Old Airport Road (you can never go wrong here). If you want to travel into the suburbs, Chomp Chomp is a heartland hangout. Newton hawker centre is massively overrated and touristy; would not recommend if you don't wanna pay "tourist prices". One of the free walking tours by Monster Day Tours covers most of the food spots easily. So glad you got a chance to eat in Singapore, TJ!

I used to work close to Amoy and that food center still my favourite hawker center in the whole of Singapore. A noodle story is my favourite store there, it’s always crowded even before michelin bib gourmand.

One of the craziest thing its actually cheaper to eat out in singapore vs buying groceries if you are single 😎, when i was there for 2.5 years for work - i be hitting that hawker centres almost everyday! My fav is chicken rice both soya and the steamed one. True noodle can be nicer vs rice, and the chicken is so succulent and juicy (i think they use ayam kampoeng) - but chicken rice is so oily - but you know what they say greasy means love 😍. If michelin hired You as their mystery star giver the world will have millions of michelin star ⭐️ 😂

Sorry, kampung (free roaming) chicken meat is leaner and more chewy. They are pricier because they are supposed a more healthy option to farm (injected) chicken.

Sardines used in this region is those canned sardines in tomatoes and they are usually mashed up and fry with chilies and onions :D Should have tried their curry puff lol Hawers around there Amoy/Maxwell/Chinatown/63 Market street and also Old Airport Road hawkers are very popular and sell lots of good food.
