@rainmanben there is no need to challenge and educate SG naysayers and idiots. Let them claim their own AF is the strongest in ASEAN. There is no bonus to attain such title too, let them have a field day to soothe their inferiority complex.
I’ve lived my entire life right below the flight path of these jets right upon they take off. Noisy as hell, but I love them regardless, it’s so cool watching them take off nearly every single day. Thanks for making this video of these very aircraft. Happy National Day SG :D
Forget not the people behind the flying stick risk their lives to protect this nation when crisis comes. It’s not 100% safe during peacetime too as accidents do happens . I lived at Seletar and often heard the loud bang or engine roar and not only I’m not fuming but pray for the safety of these warriors.
I served with RSAF from mid- 80's to 2000's... We've been the best equipped air force in the region since the 80's & our motto is called "Above All"...
@@tonykiang9052 doesn’t matter if our military’s capabilities of facing the threats but people like u willing to stand by these warriors instead of running away or be a land guide for enemies wheb they invade .
Hahaha a military with next to zero real combat experience. Russia air force was deemed to be one of the best and they can't even dominate ukraine air space. Go and get some read combatant experience before talking about war.
Personally speaking as a singaporean , I am proud of the continuous improvement the RSAF have made recently in Improving Air defences , purchasing high quality aircraft and Missiles ,etc. Regardless of the circumstances, the RSAF exists only to protect Singapore’s airspace 24/7,and is never a tool of war unless attacked / provoked first. The RSAF I believe needs to continuously and consistently Train our pilots to be Ever Ready and ensure that we can respond quickly , decisively and Effectively to any Aerial threats in today’s modern warfare. Sure the chances of us winning a war against future potential threats are slim, but just like the Army and navy, the RSAF will do it’s best and we hope for the best the day our pilots can deliver the results from the years of training gained from valuable allies and so forth. Anyways to all singaproeans ,happy National Day
Sihgapore's purpose has always been for self-defense. Just look at the capabilities of the aircrafts. The only one that really stand out is the F-15SG. However, that said, I wonder if they will regret buying the F-35s, considering how many manufacturing and quality issues the production has. I am also wondering why didn't Singapore get one or two Chinese fighters to test out. It's not like we cannot afford them.
sad to say.............the military of this island is to help the Rothschilds control the commerce shipping between the Indian Ocean and Asia Pacific...........by the way, I'm a Sinkie too
@@Black_Sun_Dark_Star more of interoperability and geopolitical issues. I forgot where i have seen it but im pretty sure there was an agreement with the US about this somewhere but u can go search it up to verify it. dont take my word for it cuz i just pull this from memory
@@Black_Sun_Dark_Star well in my opinion, unlike America,China has not been testing their own military technologies on the actual battlefield itself. Sure the same goes for the new F-35A and B fighters ,but We trust America in how they develop it since they have shown from time to time their own aircraft has exceeded all expectations. Besides even if we place the J-20/31s on trials we may not buy them in the end since purchasing them will means the start of the logistical dependency on Chinese materials as well as training on New and unfamiliarised foreign aircraft. Ever since the foundation of the RSAF,the organisation has more or less used western Cold War aviation aircraft so that’s why I get what u are saying about the issues with the F-35. After all it’s not like it’s the only aircraft known for terrible problems, even the V-22 Osprey has their own flaws. That’s why we wait until 2026 for America to finish solving the problems related to the F-35 before they can ship it to us
F35 fighter jets are not necessary for Singapore limited airspace. It is better to spend these purchases on advanced drones, missiles, and robotic soldiers.
my favourite will always be the F16... as i was given an uique opportunity to fly in the back seat.. most memorable and valued time of my life.. its still to me the most flexible versatile
One thing for sure, S'pore's neighbors are catching up with procurement of more advanced fighters. But as of now, no countries in SEA can beat S'pore's F35A/B.
Air craft maintenance and engineering are even more important. Even the other countries bought the US air crafts they also need to request Singapore to help in the maintenance
Purchasing aircraft is one thing. Its what enhancement it has tht matters. Its like buying a base model C Class mercs vs buying the AMG C63s Merc. The edge tht Sg airfoce has is tht they r able to mod their plans w Israel tech like the Python 5 and advanced avionics. And its linked to the entire defence force's battlefield management system. The army, airforce and navy can communicate w one another.
My question is catching up for what? ASEAN nations have a mutual defence pact. Unless one of them decide to go rogue, they just need to upgrade as pwr their capabilities.
@@waisinglee1509 It most definitely does. There is an exercise that involves multiple armed forces. There is even a general/admiral from one of these countries. What II do not know is how many countries are involved. However, that said, it is a purely defensive exercise, not like NATO.
As an Indonesian, I don't feel threathen by our Asean neighbour Singapore. The more stronger they are, the better. I think we will have the same adversary in the future: China
Collectively, if all Air force in ASEAN managed to procure advanced weapon, we are capable of defending the region. Despite our constant bickering, ASEAN as a region will unite to defend it's sovereignty. At least we have a fighting chance. We don't want what happened during WW2 to repeat.
Singapore is not threatening any country.... Singapore is a small country...Singapore is not looking for any enemy ...we just want to do business make friend and money and want to live in peace...but above all we still got to be prepared and ready to defend our country...quality will make up upon quantity...
One thing which I learnt from RSAF open house is that training and equipment of ground crew is just as important as those expensive aircrafts. They are hard to quantify but what I saw during my trip told me to relax. 😁😁
current example is the f16's sent to Ukraine. Not just training afew pilots to fly them, have to teach maintenance crews how to keep them in the air. Otherwise they're good for a mission or two only.
the clip was talking about F-35 purchase and thus showed F35 article and then mentioned concurrently we acquired a upgraded variant of F15s. Hence you saw the article on F35 while the clip was mentioning about F15s
Eventually F35Bs and F35As will replace all the F16s in about next 10 years. Yeah they knew the lack if air bases vulnerability that's why the F35Bs which will carry a lighter combat load to F16s
Actually, it's short take off and vertical landing (STOVL). This allows the F-35B to operate from forward bases or roads, and subsequently be recovered aboard the Navy's replacement for the Landing Ship Tank. I believe there IS an option for the F-35B to take off vertically but this comes at the expense of greatly reduced weapons payload.
@@djibicisse to take off from anywhere on the island (expressways, open spaces, etc). seems imprudent to spend so much money on an amphibious vessel just to take them on holiday. tactically, one hit and the ship is gone, crew are gone and all the planes are gone. smart.
when ur country leads by the best and talented leadership…it will turn the country into rich nations with high level income per capita and standard of living for all and not only the ministers gettin richer, like some of those poorest country …with weakest currencies 😂
The best air force is not one that always go to war........but with just its' presence in the country, enemies will think twice before launching any attack.......
Having advance weaponry is good but lacking the ability to maintain. update, upgrade and longevity of these are the reality that any countries must face. Recently, SAF added a new wing to its defence capabilities, Digital & Intelligence Services, which now allows it to fight against a new unseen enemy and prevent threats from the cyber world. Poorer countries can employ the tactics of overwhelming their opponents with sheer numerical numbers or denying them from taking the nation's resources. The defence philosophy adopted and evolved over time in a country's approach to national defence is what makes each country unique.
It's not just the quality of the aircraft most importantly SG pilots have been training in the US for a very long time together integrating with it's Army & Navy for the ultimate results
Remember how Iraqi Elite Republican Guards that repulsed US Marines attack and briefly stopped American attack for 2 days , were destroyed overnight by US stealth bombers overnight....there are 2 different type of US Armed Forces, the one that always appear in TV and those classified units that are not mean for public eyes
@@engkiatpoh9696 USA is always picking a war against technologically inferior armies. When the other side is almost equally match, they will sacrifice their lackeys to do the fighting first.
The F15 was already present back in the 1980s's and 90's as a jet which replaced the legendary tomcat and it had proven itself to be one of the the best Gen4 fighters used by the states in the Afghan war. But for the F16s I'm not gonna argue even though it has the latest AESAR tech in the Viper edition, it's still a joke for Taiwan to purchase such a large fleet of upgraded old jets..

Su57 is too old. Malaysia Should ask her abang China to sell its invincible fighter planes that I heard can match US F22. Best leh. You can fly in and out of Singapore airspace. Land at woodland, stamp Malaysia’s flag, have a teh and then fly back.
Don't try to make war with Singapore. We has Big stronger Alliance with U.S.A. I.D.F AMY FRENCH ARAB COUNTRIES THEY ARE BIG INVESTMENT. DON'T WORRY WE ARE SINGAPORE SINGAPOREAN .
Is it common knowledge? Do you know that Singapore does not have palm oil, rubber, or petroleum? It does not have a dip pocket. Her neighbors have all these God-given natural resources and are rich. Why didn't they buy it?
I live near the Paya Lebar air-base. I can tell you when the F-15SGs are taking off or landing.... When are they going to move that air-base? Wasn't it planned?
sad for aviation enthus cuz its prob the most well connected ab in sg, unlike tengah, ulu as hell not very fun to go there to spot military jets. also most overseas airforces lands at plab so.....

the new MY gov will ensure the KAI/T50 engine to be deliver first. Unlike the last time the F18 Hornet delivered without engine, but then this time round, will the whole plane arrived in time or in 20 years time, will be another story.😁
The reason why it is not mentioned is because the F18 hornets is a retired product that don't have the same capabilities as the Singaporean F35 A/B. Including the fact that malaysians only have the outdated su30 that was again retired by the russians. Both variants by the malaysians are not up to date in both hardware including tracking and no stealth capabilities.
F16s and F35s may be the best but in today's warfare they are useful only for hitting high value strategic targets and are not so effective for ground offensive. Ground offensives are fought using drones and a single F16 or F35 can buy ten of thousands of drones with a full complement of ammunitions. Are our military planners learning anything from the Ukraine-Russia war?
Those jets while one of the best in the world. I wonder against whom will they use it? While the SCS is in a flashpoint i dont think Singapore will lift a finger to help any of its SEA neighbors in the fight against China. For the sole reason of economics. If they go against China, China may pull out their finances from China and transfer them elsewhere. This will mean over 50% of the revenues of Singapore will be gone at an instant. Singapore is just a trading hub and slowly company;s are realizing there is a big cost of doing business now in Singapore when you can directly sell your goods to the end users. Singapore is only a hype before but now Company's are looking at ways to reduce cost.
It's not dangerous. It's just pure moronic. We have a unifying flag; and we're ASEAN now. And we're gonna compete against the giants. Not the neighbors. And you're just foolish to even believe anything in this video.
Singapore air space is so small. Do you need an enemy plane to fly in to its air space to launch an attack? How long does it take to scramble a plane to engage the enemy aircraft? By the time the fighter jet is in the air, enemy jet would have flown past it?
That's a gross oversimplification of air defense tactics. You think it's just about scrambling a plane to engage an enemy aircraft? Air defense system is a multi-layered, integrated network of radar, sensors, and command centers that can detect and track incoming aircraft long before they enter the airspace.
Bare in mind Singapore,Indonesia & Malaysia will never involved in any war.Millions Indonesia/Malaysia are working in Singapore & half of Singaporean have relatives in Malaysia & Indonesia vice versa
The modernisation of the Singapore Armed Forces is only to protect the nation from any invasion from other countries. Singapore does not have any ambition to behave aggressively or to flex muscles. The most important is not to militarise these regions by allowing foreign countries to set up military bases and become a launching pad for Western governments' imperialistic policies.
Singapore is outstanding in every way and by every measure, and that includes its and Air and Naval Forces. However, the fact remains that in an overwhelming lightning strike on the tiny island nation, plus today's hybrid wars, Singapore is in a very precarious situation. It's overseas air force and navy assets are not much use in this scenario. Recent conflicts have shown that while having highly advanced, extremely expensive costly military gear can give you an edge for a while, today's hybrid wars with the deployment of much lower cost Hypersonic missles, advanced UAVs and drones (some of which cost next to nothing) as well as disruptive cyber attacks, can quickly overwhelm the tiny island. Singpore literally has no strategic depth. it should focus on investing in mutual military co-operation and defence alliances with it's neighbours Indonesia and Malaysia, as these countries can provide strategic depth for Sinapore, as well as a safe haven for it's people, when push comes to shove. What happens when China becomes more powerful and asserts its power in the region at the cost of the US presence? also, Aust. cannot and will not fulfil such a role either, not now not in the future.
Maybe Singapore has the most modern air force in SEA, but most of them are not in Singapore, so how can they protect this country in an invasion situation???
basically if Singapore is at war with it's neighbors no fighter can defend the country with economic collapse and food and water suppliers cutoff. The only reason for advance fighters is to pay US for military protection. Who dares to fight US if it says Singapore is under my protection. So Premier Lee must keep a good relationship and pay for protection.
Premier Lee? And you expect to be taken seriously? Protection money, haha! You are seriously at a new level of dumb. As we speak, Singapore is having a maritime naval exercise with China.
Spend tax payers money in millions to protect rich people who lives in mansions at Bukit Timah while rakyat lives in HDB and can't afford a car... They practiced social darwinism seriously 😒
😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇 *SINGAPORE HAS NO WAR EXPERIENCE AND ALSO NOT PROVEN IN ANY WAR. MORE THAN 90% OF SINGAPORE ELECTRICITY IS GENERATED FROM NATURAL GAS THAT IMPORTED FROM MALAYSIA AND INDONESIA. IF THE GAS WAS CUT, SINGAPORE INFRASTRUCTURE, COMMUNICATIONS, WATER SUPPLY, PETROL SUPPLY WILL BREAK RAPIDLY*
The way you put it proves that you're just prejudiced against China! Why should China be an adversary? I think it's more like Russia, look, they are trying to conquer and invade and Ukraine now, who knows who's next???
We have 4 Air Force base despite our small size and in the event our air base are not operational due to severe damage, our expressways can be converted quickly to become runways
Currently the rsaf have: Paya Lebar Airbase (closing 2030s) Tengah AIrbase Changi Airbase Sembawang Airbase Overseas: BA 120 Cazaux Airbase (France) Luke Air Force Base (United States) Mountain Home Air Force Base (United States) Oakey Army Aviation Centre (Australia) RAAF Base Pearce (Australia) Silverbell Army Heliport (United States) Udorn Royal Thai Air Force Base (Thailand)
That's where Indonesia, Brunei and Thailand comes in. Some would like to add Australia, but those fighters were only meant for training. Max flight time of a fighter is just mere 2 hours. Singapore still needs our neighbors to protect us. And they need out technologies to do reconnaissance. We're ASEAN. One falls, we'll fall with them. So start thinking like a federalized nation. One single swoop from the US or China, our region will fall into chaos. As separated nations, we can't even protect ourselves from those giants. But as ASEAN, we're untouchable.
It is just a paper military with next to zero real combat experiences. Ukraine war had shown us no matter how good your military shows on paper, when it comes to real war, it is the people who matters.
When he stated that F-15SG can do Mach 2.5, I was also wondering what's the point.... 🤣🤣 step on the throttle and the fighter is already in Malaysia airspace! If the afterburner is used, could be in Indonesia or Thailand!! 🤣🤣
And PH has an air force by itself because....? We can't even trust PH to stick to the deal they made with China. And now, PH is bringing trouble into our region. Yes, the USA.
