The chicken in the Hainanese Chicken rice is best eaten with garlic chilli and dark soy sauce and it make a lot of difference in how it taste.

Malls in SG are usual multilevel & even have basement levels too. It will take some efforts of browsing through them. 😊 Do come back to SG again for the non-tourist exploring & try the hawker centres away from the commercial central areas, a portable mini fan will help in cooling yourself. SG is generally cooler towards the year end period but it will also mean more rainy days. So do have a raincoat, poncho or umbrella for such periods.

Welcome back To Singapore. The nearest hawker centre is at Newton Food Centre at the end of Scotts Rd.

Orchardgateway is more than just that single level. A lot of the malls in Orchard Road are connected. It's so hot locals wouldn't be seen walking out in the hot sun LOL. Most of us shop and eat around our neighbourhoods. If you have visited some you would see the hawker centres and neighbourhood malls are packed and crowded. We get our groceries from neighbourhood supermarkets and wet markets. The wet markets usually has connecting hawker centres. The chicken is poached in a large pot with aromatics like spring onions and ginger. The rice and chilli sauce are made with the poaching water. Hence for locals the chili and rice are very essential to a complete chicken rice meal. We cannot have it without them. By the way, in asia, if we eat rice dishes in a plate, we scoop our rice with the spoon. The fork is to pick the dishes or help to push onto the spoon to eat. We don't eat rice with fork as obviously there are gaps in between. You will be dropping grains of rice etc.

I think you guys are missing out quite a bit if you're only walking around the 1st level in the malls like what's shown in the videos! The entrance level have the most foot traffic so luxury brands are placed on that level, but there are actually more affordable brands that are also in the malls in other levels. Ion for example has a total of 8 retail storeys including 4 basements - the lower you go, the more affordable the shops are. Brands such as Nike, New Balance etc are also in the basements, as well as the food stalls.

Dubai is already the Asian Dubai.

Try adding the black soy sauce on the chicken rice, that’s how people usually eats it traditionally, or some chilli sauce that’s made for chicken rice

The more affordable stuff at Ion Orchard is on the lower floors. There's zara, JD sports, and many more

The parliament building you saw is called the Istana. This is where our President resides and receives foreign dignitaries. Pardon the misspelling earlier.

I always wonder why tourists don’t ask locals for advice with regards to shopping malls ‘ layout, food ( how to eat them , where to have good ones ,etc).
