Thanks for the reaction. She also did it live in 85 on British TV with her band. But yeah I like this harder version better. Theres also a good clip of her doing Cloudbusting at her 2014 concert. It's only cell footage but she looks so happy. We love you Kate.

Kate did one tour in 1979, and 35 years later did a residency (22 night) at the Hammersmith Odeon in London in 2014. I saw her once in 79 and 4 times in 2014 and she was fantastic each time.

I would suggest her duet with Peter Gabriel from her Christmas Special, performing "Another Day" by Roy Harper. It's on RU-vid.... It's truely amazing.

London Palladium at the Secret Policeman’s Ball Live ! Performance 1987 Kate Bush ( Vocals) David Gilmour ( Pink Floyd Guitar headless Steinberger for gravity-defying bends.) Tony Franklin ( fretless bass JayDee bass to supply the oceanic low-end) Stuart Elliot ( Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel (Drums ) overdubbed a snare part to strengthen the Linn snare, and added some 'dramatic' fills at the end combined with sounds from the Fairlight. Bush said the lyrics address the inability of men and women to understand each other. Kevin McAlea (Keyboard) is an Irish keyboard player and songwriter, known for his work with Kate Bush, David Gilmour, and Barclay James Harvest and for writing English lyrics for the song "99 Luftballons", as the international hit "99 Red Balloons".[1] He also plays saxophone, guitar and uilleann pipes. He has built several analogue synthesiser systems and had an early interest in electronic music. Master piece Running up the Hill 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🇬🇧🔥🔥🔥

Hi and thank for this. That spectacular mullet is being wonderfully displayed by Tony Franklin who himself has had a great career, working with many Rock gods such as Jimmy Page etc. He would later say of this gig that he was approached by David Gilmour to take part and since they were already friends and it was a chance to play at the London Palladium and coupled with the fact that he was a long standing fan of Kate Bush - he described her as 'spellbinding' and has spoken of her music as being 'captivating', 'poetic' and 'vast' and spoken about how he was in love with music 'from the second he heard her' with her release 'Wuthering Heights' in 1978. In relation to this performance he would say that he was sent a cassette tape and left to work out what he wanted to do with it, and then the band all basically arrived together, all knowing what they were going to do, ran through it a couple of times and that was it. Yes, it is the case that there aren't many live Kate Bush performances which I guess is why those live performances that do exist are of so much interest to many people. A couple of live videos that really do deserve particular mention is her live performance of 'The Wedding List' - which was also a charity gig and the band for the evening included Pete Townsend, Phil Collins, Mick Karn, and Midge Ure (it also includes an early example of a "wardrobe malfunction" which she handles with tremendous poise and skill). Another essential live video is her live performance, of 'James and the Cold Gun' from the Hammersmith Odeon: the picture quality is not great but then it is from 1979 and running at just over 8 minutes that particular performance of that particular song really does show just revolutionary her 'Tour of Life' Tour was for the time and basically changed the game for every rock band ever since. But then there are videos available of entire concerts for that tour (I particularly like the Manchester concert which is available on RU-vid). And I guess it shouldn't be forgotten that her 2016 album 'Before the Dawn' is a live album recorded during her 2014 residency at the Hammersmith Apollo. Thanks again for this.

David Gilmour was a friend of a friend of Kate's parents, and funded Kate's first three tracks on a demo tape. The rest is history....
