The Fairy Voice Mother did a reaction/interview with Chinchilla a couple of weeks ago on this. Really did a good job of breaking down a bunch of the vocal bits, and it's crazy how Chinchilla didn't even think about half of them as she was performing. That's just how she performs. Natural talent. Amazing.
Funny you bring this up... Usually everyone knows it can be "Taboo" to call artist other artists name. However, it can also be done as a tribute and compliment to be named with some of the greats. In that interview Chinchilla said she LOVED and took inspiration from Christina Aguilera. In this reaction Lynzi unironically called Chinchilla; Christina. 3:42
For straight singing, I really love her song “cold water”. A lot of her other music has a variety of techniques like screams and layering and rapping. It’s all interesting and good. Elements, lockdown getdown, little girl tone, and her awakenings visualizer on RU-vid are also great. The awakenings EP has a song on it called “know no” that might be one of the most clear songs about consent I’ve ever heard. “I could be naked in your bed, I’m still entitled to decline.”
I haven't heard of her either! I think I've officially become that old guy who sits on his porch and yells at kids to pull up their pants and get off my lawn.
It’s especially fun to watch a singer’s reaction to this, as you have an even deeper appreciation for just how masterful this performance is 🙌 Chinchilla’s live street performances with Ren (e.g. One Dance / Drunk in Love) are a great watch and show that she can turn it on anywhere, but her studio recordings are definitely worth checking out too because her production skills are 🔥
Her studio stuff is good too, she writes and produces her own records. Lots of vocal layers and harmonies. 'Elements' is well worth checking out in that regard.
EXACTLY ! Hallelujah ! A great song flows and to interrupt it mid flow means we are unable to react truly to it. The flow is paramount to this kind of performance. Every little nuance is measured. Every huge belting vocal is accentuated by what comes before and what comes afterwards, both lyrically, and musically. This kind of reaction, to me, is absolutely perfect Lynzi. Brilliant stuff 🙏
I’m so glad I’m not alone on this one!!! Thank you for this comment, I’ve been feeling iffy on how these videos are perceived and this is extremely helpful. Thank you!! ❤️❤️
When she says, "This was me last year," I can't help thinking that she means she was a shadow... and now she's karma personified. Also, she apparently wrote this about her former manager.
Great reaction. She'll love the Christina reference you made. I believe she's a big fan. I think she mentioned it in one of the interviews she did here on RU-vid. A very special talent as is Ren and Sam from the same stable. Lets hope she goes far. I'd like to here her and Sam together. You can't help feel when she sings.
I’m absolutely obsessed with her and have been since Little Girl Gone came out. She doesn’t have a bad song and her talent is so impressive. Her vocals, her lyrics, her production, her layers of sound, the artistry in not just her music but her wardrobe, makeup and visuals are just amazing. I recommend literally everything she does. The official video for Fingers is my favorite because of the music and vocal layers but just visually beautiful.
Cold water by chinchilla is one not many reactors do. Which is odd. Because it’s such a great song. It was the song that made her get on the scene. She got to open up for sting. Because of it.
Yeah she said she was building traction. Open for sting. Cold water was a hit. Then Covid hit. Everything stopped & her relationship label went down hill. So her & Ren stuff happened & never got any traction. But then Hi Ren hits like crazy & then her stuff with blew up. Right before little girl gone was released. Then it went crazy on Tik tok. It’s really a crazy story. It’s also why I plead people to follow the girl. She is independent like Ren. She gets the views. No reason that Atleast half of Rens fans wouldn’t follow her. He calls her his musical sister. Sorry for the rant. But yeah Cold Water. Would be a great song to react to lol
Supposedly this song is about her producer/manager that....lets just say, took advantage of her in mote ways than one......so that part about shedding a tear was real
I like the approach of listening and respecting the whole show before commenting. You can always give feedback after that if you want to or relisten to it. :) Thank you.
I love all of it, her, her outfit, including the nails, the performance, and _your reaction!_ I loved it That was one of the very best reactions I have ever seen. I didn't want to subscribe but I had to.oho ooo. She is so unfairly underrated. Now, I want more Chinchilla reactions from you. Oh Golly, You might be my new obsession.
Just going back through your old reactions after the algorithm finally getting round to recommending you! I live the format. Makes sense and people can skip the in depth of they want to 😊❤
Hell yeah, im in. To your music and reactions. You got me with how you reacted to the beauty of the song and then because you let it run all the way through. You clinched it by literally being blow away by "hell hath no fury." Immediately went to check out your music. Love you!!
Just such a magical performance, my favourite of many years! I love all her videos. Another beauty is " Humble " Ren and Eden Nash , and a real killer track is Chinchilla with Ren in Brighton on the streets doing " One Dance/Drunk in Love " Love your reaction to this one.
Chinchilla and ren are anomalies for me because i enjoy the live stuff they do 10x more than the studio versions. She is amazing. And she makes all of her own hats!
Hullo! Recently stumbled across your channel (bc I am a such a huge fan of both Ren and Chinchilla) and I love your reactions ❤️ Firstly, it’s great that you watch a whole song and then rewind to make comments. I wish more reactors did that. It’s a good move. But secondly, I have a genuine, sort of technical, question: why do you use in-ear earphones to listen to stuff rather than closed-back headphones? I feel like the audio experience is better with the latter than the former. PS I have obviously liked and subscribed to your channel, I’m really enjoying your take on great music 🙂
Thank you for watching and enjoying these reactions!! I really appreciate your support and sub ❤️ Honestly… I didn’t even think of how much better it would be to use cans 😂 I have absolutely no excuse, I have tons of headphones in this house. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, moving forward I’ll probably get a much better listening experience!
